Wusthof Grand Prix II Chef's Knife : No
kitchen should be without this manual food processor.
The mid section of the blade is remarkably appropriate
for either firm or soft food. The gentle curve of the
blade is ideal for mincing. The front of the blade is
suitable for many small cutting jobs. The sturdy spine
of the blade can be used to break up small bones or
shellfish. The weight distribution is optimal at the
heel of the blade and is used to chop through extremely
firm food objects. The wide flat surface of the blade is
suitable for flattening and shaping of meat cuts such as
fillet as well as for lifting of the chopped product.
Since 1814, knives bearing the Wusthof name and the
Trident logo have been crafted in the world's
"Cutlery Capital" of Solingen, Germany. Today,
in a state-of-the-art facility, that tradition of
quality is ensured as old-world craftsmanship meets
twenty first century production methods. Product

This knife is fabulous! The handle is very comfortable in my small hands. It is lightweight which makes it easy to work for long times. That being said, I would use a larger, heavier knife for tougher vegies like butternut squash. But the precise, deftness if this knife is a joy to work with!
This is the 20th Wusthof knife that I've purchased and I'm highly impressed with each one of them. This 6 inch Chef's Knife is my favorite, for it's versatile enough to use for just about anything. As a matter of fact, I purchased this knife to take along with me, whenever I travel. Once you've used the best, everything else is frustrating! Keep up the good work, Wusthof, and thanks for offering this great product Chefs!

I have just 2 of them, but will not buy anything else from now on. I caught a good sale on the Grand Prix II. I couldn't wait to use it. I was not disappointed. It was so worth the money I paid. I love the look and it cut beautifully.
In the kitchen, I'm never without: My favorite Wusthof knives.

I've worked as a machinist for 30+ years and I appreciate tools that are reliable and durable. I purchased the Wusthof Chef's knife and a few other items for use at my girlfriend's home. I've found that cheap cutlery makes cooking prep less enjoyable and more work that it should have to be. :-)
Pros: construction, durability, Easy to Clean/Wash, Ergonomic handle, Functional/Useful

Very pleased with this knife. Got tired of wrestling with my cheap chef knife and decided it was time to buy a quality kinfe. After reading knife reviews comparing different brands I decided on the Wusthof Grand Prix II. It was well worth the investment. I can do same work in much less time and effort. Wish I would have bought one a long time ago.
