I really wanted to believe that I made the right decision to spend a small fortune for a toaster. But, I had made the wrong decision. One of the biggest disappointments: any bread not a standard size just does not fit. For example, English muffins ALWAYS got jammed and when trying to get them out they got all squished. So I had to unplug it and get a wooden spoon and try to wiggle and poke the muffin out of the slot. Artisan breads that come in non-square shapes - also do not fit and also get jammed up. I gave up on it and after it had sat in the corner of the kitchen counter for a year I was tired of looking at the useless thing and gave it to the guy down the street who sets up a flea market every couple of weeks at the edge of the city park. I guess it would work fine for anyone who only toasts Wonder Bread or other perfectly square slices
