"I purchased this griddler for my husband. He's in charge of weekend pancake breakfasts and wanted a griddle. Little did I know that the Cuisinart Griddler was going to become a permanent fixture on my countertop. We use it for hot sandwiches, grilled cheese, to warm pizza, to make garlic bread, to warm or cook meat, AND to make pancakes. It's one of the most versitile appliances I've ever purchased and works so well that my husband wants to purchase one for several relatives. When we're short on time or just don't want to heat up the kitchen, the answer is our Cuisinart Griddler. It is so easy to use and clean up our 12 year old will ask if she can cook the meal when we decide on a griddler meal."

"I would highly recommend the Cuisinart Griddler to anyone who enjoys versatile, easy use, easy clean-up appliances. I use the Cuisinart Griddler more than any appliance in my home. The versatility is amazing. Living in a rain forest, there are few days in the summer that are really made for outside BBQs. With the Griddler, I can enjoy grilling in either rain or snow. I can easily grill and prepare griddle crisp vegetables at the same time. Living alone, the griddler compact size makes it possible for me to quickly prepare a lovely dinner for one or more when I have friends over. The panini press feature allows me to make wonderful sandwiches using most anything in the pantry and/or frig including left overs. I can allow my imagination to run wild to create all sorts of new and tasty entrees or snack. The ease of use and clean-up is amazing. I can't imagine life without one."

"I admit I was a bit skeptical when I received the griddler/panini press as a gift. My immediate thoughts were here is another appliance that will take up valuable space on the small counter area in my kitchen. Surprisingly it has turned out to be one of the most used appliances in the kitchen (right up there with the toaster) and now resides in a place on honor with easy accessablity. It works great, is easy to clean up and yes, it is a multi-tasker! Even better for those kitchens with limited counter spaces like mine. Thanks Diane for the wonderful gift. I think of you with every panini I make."

"Run, do not walk to get this griddler! Ever try to turn a quesadilla without messing it up and the filling come out? This griddler makes it easy because you don't have to flip it. Paninis, grilled sandwiches, pancakes, bacon, chicken, burgers, salmon, shrimp skewers - it keeps getting better. It's quick, heats evenly, unsnaps and comes clean easily. The griddler makes it easy to be creative - you'll find a new use for it every day!"

"I have loved having my Cuisinart Griddler. I used it at least once a week this winter. It is great for almost any meal from breakfast pancakes, to supper and grilled steaks. For breakfast you can be making pancakes on one side while grilling sausage or frying bacon on the other. As far as supper you can be grilling veggies on one side and steak on the other. What a wonderful idea. Clean up is a breeze. I comes apart. Is dishwasher safe. Stores easily. I love it. My daughter tried to talk me out of it when she saw it, but of course she didn't get mine, but she is getting married in August and added it to her gift registry so is hoping to get one as a gift. I would highly recommend this to anyone."

I love this Griddler

Cons: the drip pans are separate, they just sit under the drain
"I purchased this on a wim and was greatly pleased. I use this for everything. I love the fact that I can cook on both sides. The steaks come out so good. I have even brought it to work on the weekends and made sausage and pancakes for the people working. It is so compact and lighweight. It is a dream to clean. I like to do hard fried eggs. Talk about come out great. It took no time at all. It also opens completely flat which makes it great for doing a lot of pancakes at once. It is brushed chrome and looks great on the counter. I would recommend this highly and plan to give these as Christmas presents this year."

"the griddle heats up to the perfect tempature to make pancakes or paninis, our two favorites. The tempature adjusts to your specifications so you can make the perfect pancake in record time. It crisps the bread for pananis so it nice and crunchie, yum. The top grill adjusts to your food height, so you can make a thick panini with grilled chicken or a fast grilled cheese. It is a really great product."

"I purchased 2 of these griddlers, for my daughter and then myself. I have used it extensively to make paninis, grill vegetables, make burgers, steaks & chicken and even pancakes and eggs. This is the best piece of kitchen equipment I have purchased in a long time. I am somewhat of a cook and this griddler is serving me very well. Anything can be grilled on this great machine.. It is one of the most used pieces of kitchen equipment. One of the best things I like about it is that the interchangeble plates are completely washable."

"This is a very versatile appliance.
I have had this item for several years and I find I am using it more and more over time which is very different from most other kitchen appliances. It was given as a gift and we only thought of using it for grilling sandwiches then I started using it for breakfast and now even though I grill on an outdoor BBQ, I still find myself using it for quickly grilling meats to put into dishes I am cooking; grilling chicken to put in burritos or pasta dishes, grilling flank steaks and vegetables. It is easy to clean and now find that I am leaving it on my counter because I use it so much.
I recommend this to any one who wishes to add grilling to their everyday cooking repertoire."

"After receiving the Cuisinart Griddler as a present a few months ago, I began using it to prepare various dishes and found it to be quite versatile. You can literally make breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks with it. Recently it was a big hit at a party when I grilled Paninis for everyone using a variety of foods. "I bought the Cuisinart Griddler for myself, I enjoy Panini's and it makes the wonderful grill marks, and melts cheeses to perfection. What I didn't realize was how perfect it is for so many other things, like pancakes, burgers, and steaks come out as if I cooked it on my BBQ grill. Now I wouldn't be without it, it has to be the most versatile machine, especially with the easy changing of grill/griddle, the clean up is very easy, and with the option of open grill or closed grill, you have so many things you can prepare with it."

"I've used this for cooking bacon, pancakes, paninis, quesadillas, etc. Just a very useful tool to have in the kitchen. The main on/off light has died already, and I've only had it for a few months, but it has affected it's cooking ability.
The griddles are easy to clean, since they are dishwasher safe, but the rest of the unit has a few nooks and crannies that make it a little more troublesome, but it hasn't been a big issue."

The letters and numbers are wearing off the controls and I have to get out the manual to remind me of where and what the settings say.
