KitchenAid Ice Cream Maker Attachment KICAOWH

KitchenAid Ice Cream Maker Attachment KICAOWH : Revolutionary attachment converts any KitchenAid stand mixer to an ice cream maker. Makes up to 2 quarts of fresh, pure, soft-consistency ice cream in 30 minutes. Attachment includes drive assembly, dasher, and Freeze Bowl. Drive assembly attaches to the mixer's motor head to rotate the dasher for thorough mixing, spreading, and scraping. A specially formulated liquid within the Freeze Bowl's double walls ensures thorough, even freezing. To freeze the liquid, just place the bowl in your freezer. If you prefer hard ice cream, transfer it to an airtight container and store in freezer for 2 to 4 hours. Dasher, drive assembly and freeze bowl adapter ring are dishwasher safe. Freeze Bowl must be hand-washed. Model: KICAOWH.

Great Space Saver October 22, 2007
PatL from Atlanta GA

"Why buy another appliance? I keep the bowl in the freezer at all times. Because I use my stand mixer so often -- it has a permanent place on my kitchen cart so I don't have to get another appliance out to make ice cream. I use this bowl frequently making everything from very rich vanilla bean ice cream to fruit juice sorbets. I like it too because it seems to work equally well making a small batch as a larger batch. I sometimes make only a half pint of ice cream or sorbet -- just enough for my husband and me with no leftovers."

Too Fat for My Freezer June 7, 2008
Snickery from Chicago, Ill

"I was so very disappointed when I opened up the box, washed and dried the bowl and attachments and realized it was too big to fit in my freezer (I never imaged I'd need to measure my freezer for a bowl). Unlike the Cuisine Art freezer bowl, this attachment has a super-fat wall and the base is just about a half-inch too tall for the freezer...in any area.

The bones of this fat bowl are lovely and the idea is exquisite. I just hope KitchenAid will put it on a diet so it's practical."

A Good Idea, but... April 5, 2008
Gr8white from Aurora, CO

"I am sorry to say that this attachment did not work well for me. After making up the recipe for French Vanilla ice cream in the manual that came with the bowl, I chilled it to 36 degrees. The bowl and paddles sat in the freezer for 20 hours, but still the ice cream never even made it to the consistency of soft serve. Maybe my freezer does not get cold enough (although it is set at its lowest setting), I don't know."

Having ice-cream all the time hawaiian style March 22, 2008
hulachef from Hawaii

"I can make ice-cream anytime when I want. It is really a treat.
I can create my specialty Hawaiian ice-cream when I have visitors from another place. I can use fresh mangoes, avacados, roasted mac. nuts and coconut milk as my ingredients.
The ice-cream attachment is easy to use without much fuss. I have to limit my consumption of ice-cream so that I don't gain too much weight!"

easier and more fun than going to the store January 4, 2008
goobysmom from carlisle, pa

"I could not believe how easy this ice cream maker was to use. It is so fast that my kids barely had time to get to ask "is it done yet". I love the fun of coming up with new ice cream recipes. Kids will love watching the ice cream churn."
