Must have for baking November 9, 2007
highaltitudebaker from Colorado

"I have been using these liners for several years, and now I can't do without them. Cookie baking is a total breeze because the Silpat is so easy to clean. Nothing sticks to them, but they also allow perfect browning. I own three of these and they appear to last forever. I love mine- definitely a worthy purchase."

Must Have ! March 29, 2008
number1allcladfan from charleston, sc

"With all of the controversy regarding the use of Teflon and Aluminium for cooking and baking , I was lookng for a safer alternative for my family. These are perfect !!! Baked goods glide off and clean up could not be easier , just wipe off. And a big bonus, your baked goods turn out healthier by not having to use oils or butter on the pan."

"My husband bought me one of these baking mats for christmas and I love it. I no longer have to by exspensive parchment paper to bake. Cookies and pasteries slide right off, browning is even and I don't have to throw out money every time I decide to bake. These baking mats are reuseable as long as you take proper care of them. The only problem is, I need more of them at least 4 or more. I highly recommend buying these baking mats if you do any kind of baking, they are wonderful."

Twice the cleanup for cookie baking? March 20, 2008
CBurns from Carlisle, PA

"I find that using a good non-stick cookie pan is better than using one of these for cookies. For pastry rolling, though, it helps alot."

Fantastic Product November 14, 2007
PatL from Atlanta GA

"This is a great product. I use it for cookies of course. But, is also great under a pie that might spill over. Apple pie spillage wipes right up! Also, under a quiche etc. etc. And, so much easier and more environmentally friendly than parchment paper or foil."

A good tool for pastry November 9, 2007
Raizel from New York, NY

"I found this was a lifesaver when it came to rolling out pastry and kneading dough. It sticks to the countertop but not to the pastry, which is fantastic. Parchment paper just moved around the countertop, completely useless. For actual baking in the oven, however, I still prefer parchment paper for lining sheet pans."

A must have! October 13, 2007
debirose from CA

"If you haven't tried Silpat yet, you don't know what you're missing! Cookies can be baked on it, candy making is wonderful, and a multitude of other things slide right off. Nothing sticks! Just remove whatever you've made before slicing the food to prevent cutting into the silpat and exposing fiberglass pieces. If you remember that, it'll last forever!"
