This is the first grill press I've ever used. Used it once only so far for a half piece of steak - it's not very big; steak came out perfect! I'll need to order another one to cook larger pieces of meats. It should work for one panini though.
Pros: Easy to Clean/Wash, Stay-cool handle, Material, easy to use, even cooking, Heat distribution, construction, Appearance/ Design /Style, Performs Well, Functional/Useful, Weight
Every chef should have one ( or 2) of these. Nicely weighted, not too heavy, not too light, balanced, and does the job on 2 small steaks or one large one. I highly recommend.
Pros: even cooking, construction, Appearance/ Design /Style, Performs Well, durability
I am very pleased it looks just like the picture and it was easy to put together. Its afforable and the size is perfect for the grill. I just love it.

I am very happy with this item. It is great for a griddle as well as the grill. It really helps to ensure even cooking for bacon and it is great for making grilled sandwiches.
Pros: Easy to Clean/Wash, even cooking, multi-purpose, construction, non-stick, durability, Weight
There's no doubt that you'll get grill marks when you use this press for any meat. Whether it's in my grill pan on the stovetop or on my charcoal grill, I ALWAYS use this to press with great success!
Pros: construction, durability, Easy to Clean/Wash, easy to store, easy to use, even cooking, Functional/Useful, Heat distribution, Heat retention, Long-lasting, Material, multi-purpose, non-stick, Performs Well, quality, size, Stay-cool handle, Value for Money, Weight
I bought it for him to cook his bacon and steaks with. It ensures that all the surface makes contact with the pan ensuring even cooking. It stops things from puckering up making for uneven cooking surfaces. I think cast iron is the best thing to cook with anyway it is great for holding in heat and distribution of weight and heat is unsurpassed.
Pros: Appearance/ Design /Style, capacity, construction, durability, Easy to Clean/Wash, easy to use, even cooking, Functional/Useful, Heat distribution, Long-lasting, Material, multi-purpose, Performs Well, quality, size, Weight

This is one great combination

Growing up and learning to cook with cast iron cookware was just a natural thing. I saw this grill and press and could see items being made before buying it. I love this item, especially for grilled sandwiches, my favorite being Rubens. The crispy texture makes the meal and the press works those ridges in whatever you're cooking.. It's also great for chicken breasts, having those great grill marks. The heat distribution is great and everything cooks evenly. It's one of my favorite pieces of cookware and would recommend it to anyone, you won't be disappointed.
I bought this as a treat, certainly not a necessity but useful and fun to use. My bacon finally stays flat and I don't get spatters everywhere. I do cut the strips in half first. It's lightweight enough for me to handle and speaking of handles, it stays cool.
I got this along with the Lodge Pro grill/griddle. It is nicely built, weighty, and the handle stays cool enough to handle. It is a bit small, though, about the size of a standard photo print--so it will just cover one steak but not several strips pf bacon side by side, for instance. However, this is a minor quibble (and as the size is noted in the product description, under specifications: caveat emptor), and no doubt they kept it small in order to make it handle easily--a larger one would quickly become rather heavy to handle easily. All in all, it is a good-quality, sturdy product.
Pros: construction, durability, easy to use, Functional/Useful, quality, Stay-cool handle
Cons: size

Perfect Grilled Sandwiches

I have 4 of these and use them all the time. They are perfect for grilled sandwiches. I cook outside a lot and this iis great with my cast iron griddle. It is heavy enough to hold the sandwich down to get it very chrispy on the outside and let all the cheese melt on the inside.
Pros: will last forever!
