I love this pan. It has all the wonderful benefits of cast iron without the downsides. Plus, it is beautiful. Gives me pleasure every time I use it!

I love my new red skillet, it completes my 20pc set. Cooking is a treat and clean up is a breeze. My only regret is that I took too long to purchase it. It is worth every penny.

What a GREAT investment!

I actually received this skillet as a Christmas gift this year, and I really only have positive things to say about it. I'm typically very cautious when reading reviews of products because I'm picky and fairly demanding when it comes to "quality" products.
My adventures with my newest item (the red 10") was on Christmas day. After reading through the instructions that are packaged with the pan I jumped right in with some turkey bacon. I was slightly concerned that the bacon might stick as turkey is far less greasy that regular bacon, but it cooked up wonderfully! I did add a tiny bit of cooking spray as the instructions frown upon heating up a dry pan, but I'm not convinced that it's necessary. There was no sticking on my first bacon run at all.
Since then, I've cooked chicken breasts, regular bacon, sausage, and even several different types of fish and have yet to find anything that sticks to this pan. I used butter with the chicken breasts and some cooking spray with the fish, but I'm almost to the point where the pan is seasoned enough to forgo those in the future. The heat distribution is better than any other pan I've used (including numerous teflon pieces from Caphalon). The handle does get hot, of course, as it's all made out of cast iron. Just use a pot holder (or buy a sleeve made by La Creuset for this exact product).
The pan still looks brand new and I expect it to for years. It has already become my most used in the kitchen. I have had NO problems keeping it clean. Just some water and a sponge and everything slides off with ease.
If you're on the fence, buy it. You won't regret the decision!

I got this skillet and the larger one for Christmas. I am so used to cooking in Teflon but have been making a switch over to Le Creuset for the even heating. I was concerned about stuff sticking in this pan. I will admit that there is some sticking at times (mostly when not paying attention), but it cleans much more easily than i thought it might. The Le Creuset pieces are just so wonderful for heat distribution which we were really having a problem with due to a new stovetop. They are pricey, but they will last a lifetime and boy do they look nice if left out on the stove. We get lots of compliments on all of our colorful cookware.

I love this pan! I have a an electric stove and this pan helps keep hot spots to a minimum. It spreads heat evenly across the entire surface! The pour spouts come in handy to help drain fats off meat and keeps it from going down the side to fry off on the burner. This will defiantly become an added treasure to your kitchen!

I used this to saute onions and mushrooms for a
large quantity of pasta sauce. It was very easy to
manage the ingredients thanks to the size and the
lip. I have other cast iron skillets, but the sides are
high and very heavy.

EZ to clean, economical

Every year, I would go through 2-4 non-stick pans that would start to peel and flake after a few uses. No matter how closely I followed the manufacturers' directions (medium heat, hand wash, don't use metal utensils), the non-stick pans failed.
Disgusted that the non-stick surface was winding up in my foods, I turned to Le Creuset. It heats up quickly, cooks sunny side up eggs like a dream (with just a little butter), and cleans up like a dream. Over time, I actually will save money with this pan.
This pan handle does get hot, so be sure to use a hot pad or oven mitt. As with all Le Creuset, this is well-made cast iron and is heavy, so you'll get your workout in while you cook.

The 10" LeCreuset skillet is so versitle - we use it almost every day. Can go from stove top into the oven. Worth the investment. It looks so good, we keep it on the stove top.

Great frypan for smooth top stoves

Le Creuset flat bottons are great for smooth top stoves. My old iron skillet has a lip and is useless on the smooth top range.
This 10 in skillet will probably be used continuously.
Like all Le Creuset cookware, it is heavy. I look at that as a good feature because it won't tip, slide, etc.

I have purchased a few items from chefs and have been very happy with the service. This skillet was exactly what was shown in the cataloge. The color was perfect, and the size was what I was looking for. I will use chefs cataloge for all my houseware purchases. The Le Crueset cookware is definitely worth the extra money, They last forever and the cooking surface is like no other. I give Le Crueset for gifts and well as for myself.

The cassis color is beautiful and it's great to cook just about anything in. Like all cast iron, it's heavy, so doing any cooking that requires moving the pan around means you better have strong wrists.
Cleans up easily. Were it not for the weight, would recommend a 12" version, but the 10" is a challenge to move with 1 hand.
While it cooks great, these are very expensive compared to alternatives that cook equally well. You pay quite a premium for the pretty paint job.

Same great Le Creuset style and quality. I have used it for years. This skillet is a perfect everyday size. The new "purple" color is not as deep a color as it appeared in pictures. It is more pastel. I would have preferred a little darker, thus the 4-star rating.

It will take a few meals to season the pan, and it is a good idea to pay close attention how much heat you apply to this pan as you learn how it cooks. Low and slow seems to work best. We cook with propane gas. I believe once it is well seasoned this piece of cookware with last generations.

I just love the bright blue enameled exterior of my Le Creuset cast iron skillet. It's a perfect size and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it's much more light weight than my old fashioned cast iron skillets.
