Best electric can opener

"After many years of struggling with manual can openers, I decided to give this can opener a try. I was amazed at how easy it was to operate and keep clean. It's incredibly sturdy for its size, able to hold and open 3 lb. and 5 lb. cans with little help. Every kitchen should have one!"

"I have owned this device for three or four years and it has performed very well. I really like the way the cutting assembly can be removed and cleaned seperately. I also like the height. My only complaint is that the little plastic piece that activates the machine when you press down on the lever should have been made out of metal. This piece broke off and I had to order a new cutting assembly from West Bend; cost $22.09 including shipping. The good news is that I don't have to go out and buy a new device. Other than that little bit of planned obselecence, it beats the heck out of Dollar Store and WalMart products."

Ultimate Can Opener

"I have bought many can openers that just do not last, nor did they have the strength that we needed. When I decided to buy another can opener, I thought that I needed a heavy duty one that would last a long time. I recently bought this one and I have never been so happy and pleased with it. It does all that I wanted in a can opener and more. I was also so pleased with the fact that you can chose colors. I bought the red to go with my kitchen decor and I have been asked many times, "where did you get that?" I would most definitely tell family and friends where I got this, and encourage them to purchase one of their own."

"My husband gave me this can opener in red for Christmas. I have had no problems with it skipping or not puncturing the cans. It is also very easy to keep clean. The red opener looks great with the Kitchenaid Empire red mixer and coffee pot."
