Excellent Roasting Pan -- GREAT PRICE! September 22, 2008
Blossom from Vancouver, WA

"I had been looking everywhere for a great tri-ply roasting pan that wouldn't cost $200.00 or more. Chef's not only had the best product (comparable to what Williams-Sonoma and other high-end stores carry), but the BEST price and FREE shipping, too.
In addition to the sturdy handles, which allow for easy access in and out of the oven, the bottom rack is the best around, as it fits securely in the bottom of the pan. Similar roasting pans have a v-shaped rack, which means larger items will wobble, potentially leading to burns or spills.
If you're looking for a great roasting pan, buy this one! The non-stick type just aren't as good, in my opinion, and this pan will last you a lifetime!"

Best Roaster Choice September 24, 2008
ConsumerWiseCook from Colorado

"I studied all the roasters available in the CHEFS catalogue and chose this one because of the price and two layers of stainless steel over a thick aluminum core - true tri-ply construction, edge to edge. There are other tri-ply roasters, but they have non-stick surfaces that may release gasses at high temperatures. The flat rack makes this pan more versatile for cooking a variety of foods, not just a turkey. The handles are easy to grab, even with a heavy load. This pan was easy to clean. Cooked on meat drippings wiped away after allowing the pan time to soak in water and dish detergent. I removed any remaining food film with "Bar Keepers Friend", a soft cleaning powder found in the grocery store, recommended by the high-end tri-ply manufacturers like All-Clad. The large size was just right."

Excellent! November 14, 2007
HausFrau from Morehead City, NC

"I've looked all over for a roasting pan that wouldn't send me to the poor house. I understand that I'll have it for my whole life, but that doesn't put the $200+ in my bank account! This pan is awesome and at a great price. Its just as good as you would expect the more expensive pans to be... actually I think I even like it better, the handles on the rack are a great idea! It's great quality and a great price... what else can you ask for? Maybe free shipping? Oh yea, got that too :)"

Great Roasting Pan! November 11, 2007
PortlandBill from Portland Oregon

"the description is confusing in suggesting it is tri-ply, but then saying there is an aluminum core in the base. The difference is significant. True tri-ply has 2 layers of 18-10 stainless with an aluminum layer in between throughout the whole pan (like all-clad and Cusinart multiclad). I ordered this roaster, taking a chance as the customer support was unsure whether it was true tri-ply..... Rest assured IT IS TRU TRY-PLY. It is a very heavy pan. The only two comparable pans I have found are made by All-clad and Wolf. They are both much more expensive and have in my opinion inferior racks. One has a non-stick rack and the other a v-shaped rather than flat rack. Non stick is not durable and the shaped racks are not versatile. they are fine for a roast but not for roasting smaller items like stuffed peppers, sausages, chops, game hens etc., where you really want a flat rack. This rack is heavy duty welded stainless. This unit will last your lifetime and your kids will fight over who inherits it. I would recommend this pan to anyone who wants the highest quality at a very reasonable price."

Finally...a roasting pan! October 25, 2007
GrillGal from Vero Beach, FL

"My family has spent a long time looking for a great quality roasting pan. The non-stick ones that were so popular for so long didn't do much for the ability to "work the drippings" into a gravy. This roasting pan fits the bill to a tee. It's what we've been looking for, and love it! Now we don't have to take turns borrowing mom's 50-year old roasting pan!"
