Bells, Whistles and 12 Great Cups of Coffee. November 29, 2007
KitchenOutsider from Bainbridge Island, WA

"Ready for a coffeemaker that excels where others simply...brew? This is it. The sleek styling is what first got my attention - this is not a machine to hide away. And I appreciate the nod to ergonomics: the handle just feels right. But how about performance? in every respect, this coffeemaker shines. The showerhead brewing design gets the most from the grounds and provides a better tasting cup of coffee. Need guidance? You'll always know how fresh the pot is and won't have to worry whether you've left it on all day. My favorite feature is also what makes this coffeemaker unique: the adjustable temperature warming plate. (Now, if I could just keep my husband from turning it down!)"

Finally HOT coffee! October 25, 2007
Terri from Spicewood, Tx.

"I am writing to say that the KitchenAid Proline coffee maker is the best ever purchase by far for coffee makers. Our biggest problem with coffee makers is that coffee would not stay hot. After 30 minutes or more the coffee was luke warm and had a terrible taste. We have tried so many big name brand coffee pots with the same problem. We finally decided to give the KitcheAid Proline series a try. To my surprise we have been so happy with this coffee maker. It can be a hour later and the coffee is piping hot as well as fresh tasting. This was definitely one sure buy worth every cent paid! We love it!!!"

Verrry nice! June 14, 2008
DrAC from Olive, NY

"I have had a variety of coffee makers over the years, expensive european imports and simple french presses.
This is the best. The old adage 'you can only do one thing well' applies to coffeemakers too - a separate espresso machine and a separate coffee maker. Steaming hot coffee, easily made and delivered quickly - what more do you want?! I never do, but because of the temp (hot!) don't leave coffee in the pot on the warmer - mud in minutes - but that's my taste.
I recommend this machine unreservedly!"

Burns, burns, burns January 5, 2008
Rudy from Gurnee, IL

"Initially, it makes good coffee. We are now on our third machine. Machine #1 had cracks in the finish upon arrival and burned the coffee after it was made no matter if the setting was on high or low. Machine #2 did not burn the coffee, but arrived with a cracked finish. Machine #3 has no cracks in the finish, but burns the coffee. Unless it is immediately transferred to a thermal pot, the coffee tastes terrible. I have always been a big Kitchen Aid fan. I find this machine disappointing and a hassle to have to keep getting replaced."

Nice, but...... December 29, 2007
stepwill47 from Pleasanton, CA

"This coffeemaker does, as other reviewers note, make good cofee. But..
- Our first unit started to corrode around where the water is added. KitchenAid promised to replace the unit, but we never received a new system.
- Carafes break very easily. The first replacement (courtesy of KitchenAid) the whole black top slowly became unglued from the glass. We are now on carafe number 5 (we have two of these coffeemakers) and at $45 or so each, expensive. In each case the glass just shattered, and we are very careful handling and washing them.
- The filter cartridge is, in my view expensive.
In summary, great coffee, but way too expensive to keep running."

Great Coffee Every Time! October 26, 2007
Joyce from Thousand Oaks, California

"This is the best coffee maker I have ever owned. It is simple to use and consistently makes a superb carafe of coffee that remains hot for 2 hours and doesn't become bitter. If you grind your own coffee beans and use this product, you never have to pay coffeehouse prices again."

best coffee maker October 25, 2007
eskie from Littleton, CO

"We have purchased lots of coffee makers, and this is the best. The warrenty is great and the company is good to work with. We had a cosmetic problem that came up a few days after the end of the warrenty and they still replaced the machine."

Worth Every Penny October 19, 2007
PatL from Atlanta GA

"Before purchasing I did extensive internet research, reading both independent and customer reviews. I was sceptical that a home coffee maker could brew a great cup of cofffee, but I purchased this coffee maker with high hopes. I was not disappointed. This brews a great cup of coffee -- very aromatic, tasty and just the right temperature.

I use a burr grinder set at a medium grind."

Worth the money to a coffee person!! October 16, 2007
Kgntry from Orlando, FL

"I had seen this coffee maker when it came out several years ago. At the time it was severely out of my budget. Then I saw it in a Chef's catalog. My previous BUNN coffee maker was hard to clean and as time went by, kept the water too hot in the tank, evaporating it if not in use at least twice a day. It had a gasket that broke and, unbeknown to me leaked water into the housing causing mold. I threw it out and bought the Kitchenaid Proline Coffee maker. I couldn't have been more pleased. The coffee is wonderful and the machine itself is a joy to keep clean. KitchenAid has always been a brand I admire and this product is no exception to their quality. It is beautiful and functional, a worthy addition to any coffee lovers kitchen."
