"This product has made my knives like new! What a difference a sharp knife makes. By far, the most dangerous piece of equipment in the kitchen is a dull knife. This sharpener took care of that. "This knife sharpener is the perfect gift for a home chef! Our knives were so dull that I almost thought we would have to replace them. We had taken them to several knife stores for sharpening and it would only help for a month or two.

"At first I was reluctant to buy this sharpener, for 2 reasons: fear of ruining my now dull knives and the price. I bought this sharpening station based on everyone's glowing reviews. I thought if this many folks can be happy and satisfied, then I had to give it a try. My expensive knives were so dull and such a chore to use. I had no place to take them to get them resharpened other than sending them to the manufacturer, which was not an option for me. Let me tell you, I don't regret buying this sharpener. It is a pleasure to use my knives now. Money well spent. The only thing I regret is that I didn't buy it sooner!"

"There's no tool in the kitchen more important than a sharp knife. For years I tried sharpening my kitchen knives with those round "steels" and never really got a good edge. I tried other gadgets as well but all fell short of expectations. I finally took a leap and purchased a Chef's Choice sharpener. Wow !!! What difference!! That was ten years ago. This is my second Chef's Choice unit. I replaced a model 110 that was at least ten years old, so, I can truly say, these things pay for themselves. It seems a little pricey but when you consider the years of service, the excellent quality results and the convenience of always having sharp knices,"right now", it's well worth the investment. When I received my new unit last week, I sharpened all the knives in my kitchen and the results are stunning. I immediately took my sharpener to my Mom's house and sharpened her ancient, dull knives and every time I talk to her she mentions how beautifully they turned out. I have started the process of buying one as a gift for each of the cooks in my family. I never took my knives to be sharpened. It's not a cost thing, it's just a hassle carting them somewhere and going back to pick them up. Now I can sharpen / re-sharpen any time I want and it literally takes a minute per knife. I also carry a pocket knife and man oh man, I've got an edge on that thing, better than new. This is one sure way to fix those dull blades, very nice."

"My husband and I received the Chef’s Choice knife sharpener for Christmas. We love it. Before my husband would never let me sharpen our knives because he was afraid I would ruin the edge. Not an experienced knife sharpener, I can use the Chef’s Choice without concern. It guides the knife for you through the magnetic sharpening stones at the perfect angle. There are three sharpening stones or steps. The first takes off chips or is more like a rough sharpen for those really bad knives. Then the second, adds that wonderfully sharp edge while the third step is a finish to the edge. My husband doesn't have any more concerns now. It is as easy as 1, 2, 3!"

"I searched the website for a reasonably priced sharpener but one with a good value. Well, I found it! This is the best kitchen investment I have made in a long while. This appliance has a permanent spot on my countertop forever.
The style is compact yet it works like a industrial strenght machine. There is nothing worse than a dull knife but this little appliance definately took care of that. I now keep my knives razor sharp at all times. Also, the operation of the machine is so simple that anyone can handle it. I have to also state that since I have owned my machine, I have used it numerous time. Just goes to show that the construction of the appliance is top notch.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.

"The key to cooking is preparation. The key to preparation is a good sharp knife. Dull knives makes cooking a chore - you become fatigued and prep work is difficult and time consuming. Dull knives also contribute to an increased risk of injury. But, with as sharp blade, the work is almost like Mary Poppins' Spoonful of Sugar!
With this absolutely marvelous little gadget, sharp knives are almost instantaneous. It can make even less than stellar knives perform well. (You just need to return to your little gizmo more frequently to keep that lovely edge.)
The 3rd level can be used on your serrated blades too!"

"I have some fine Henckels knives that I've had for 20 years. I'd only ever used the steel, and never was really sure how I was doing. They cut, but not as well as I thought they should. I was afraid of electric sharpeners hacking my blades to bit. Better long lasting blades, than sharp, yes? No. I was convinced to get this by almost an aside in another review on the the Cook's Country site (something of a cast-off remark - "of course, the Cadillac of sharpeners is the Chef's Choice 130"). That convinced me to do it. Boy -- its wonderful. They're better than new. I take this sharpener to friends' houses for their knives. :-) I can't recommend it highly enough. Don't be afraid. This will give you sharp knives."

"This knife sharpening station is the best! I had the earlier version, and I recently upgraded. This one works WAY better than the older version. The older one would not allow you to sharpen the full length of the blade, and this one is designed to help you sharpen the full length. I LOVE cooking, and a sharp knife makes food preparation so much easier! I think you are less likely to cut yourself with a sharp knife, because you do not have to work so hard to cut your food, and your hand is less likely to slip. This device is really easy to use. There are magnets on the side of each slot to hold the knife at the correct angle. You really should get one if you like to cook!"
