I know this is an awesome coffee maker! I purchased it as a gift. Chefs was the best price I found. I was impressed by the ease of ordering, no shipping cost and the delivery time. It came 2 days earlier than I expected!

The best coffee maker we have ever had. This is our third one. Coffee is hot and stays hot. With the timer feature we can have the coffee ready when we get up in the morning.

I have owned and used many different coffee makers. Most of them top of the line. This is the best. It keeps coffee hot for long periods of time without making it bitter from constant heat from the bottom.

This is the 3rd Cuisinart coffee pot I have purchased. The last one said it makes 10 cups but we could only get 6 and not large cups either. This pot actually makes the 12 cups plus it keeps the coffee hot.

I am most impressed with this coffee maker keeping the coffee hot for so long after the perking process has been completed. My only suggestion to future buyers would be to read and follow the directions provided with the coffee maker. Be certain before starting the heating cycle that the top is clear of any coffee grounds from the previous pot of coffee. Otherwise, be prepared to clean up a mess from an overflow.

This is my second thermal Cuisinart first had to be replaced. Then later the top came off of the carafe and it was replaced (promptly no problem). Had the coffee pot for about two and a half years (not purchased at Chefs). It quit heating and running the water thru and purchased one from Chefs. The coffee stays hot for 8 to 10 hours (at least) if you run hot water thru the carafe. The lid can be hard to get on the right way but if you start with the pour arrow pointed at the handle it works really well. I painted a white arrow with touch-up paint on the word pour because it is hard for my old eyes to read black on black just makes it easier to get it right. Other wise I really like the thermal feature and not having to turn the pot off or having a heating element and burned coffee. It is expensive but worth it.

Great buy. Easy to use, attractive and coffee stays warm for HOURS!! Hands down, a great product and best deal around. I am bummed you can't see how much is left in the pot but that is what you get w/ a thermal container. It is a slow pour but is much better than our last one that dripped all over the side and on the counter. Coffee should be a slow experience to enjoy anyway and I swear it makes my coffee taste better! LOVE IT!

It is an excellent coffee maker but requires the water temperature to be little more hot to stay hot for few hours in the pot. Currently after only one hour I had to heat the coffee for drinking purposes.

Just first day of use but coffee stayed hot from 10 am to 6 pm. I was worried about that since no heating element stays on after brewing. Controls seem totally simple and efficient. Only downside is not knowing how much coffee remains in the pot after a pour and wishing the exterior housing had either more stainless or heavier plastic. Unit is taller and narrower than the retro style stainless with the glass carafe so it takes up less counter space and has sleeker styling.

I enjoy the fact that when programmed to start cycle in the a/m. The unit shuts off after brewing is complete. The Thermal stays "HOT" for more than 4 hours. This is the best feature and for the price, it is a very good choice. WE enjoy this coffee maker.
In the kitchen, I'm never without: My wife has 6 Cuisinart products in the kitchen.

The brewed coffee is made and stored in the insulated carafe. It will stay hot for 8 - 10 hours, w/o reheating. I have purchased this one to replace one I've been using for 3 years. The original unit is still functioning fine. I just wanted a spare for when the original finally dies. This is the only coffee maker that has the 12 cup capacity I could find. The $99 was a great price too. The original one cost $149.

Love this coffee maker. I can set it to make coffee at 6 am just before my alarm goes off. Coffee is still hot and taste fresh and just as good at noon. I also ordered the #4 gold tone filter. Just rinse it out and reuse no paper filters to worry with. Looks great on my kitchen counter.

After purchasing three different brands of this type product in the past year, we are pleased to have one that works at last, and without a lot of bells and whistles. Makes excellent coffee, is easy to program, and easy to clean. The coffee made in this machine is hotter than with my other brands and the carafe keeps it hot for hours.

After previously owning this same model for 5 years, we replaced it with another well-known brand after I ruined the carafe (don't clean it with dishwasher tablets, it pits the metal). The other brand didn't keep the coffee warm even for an hour. This pot will keep coffee drinkably hot, not just warm, for hours. Could have a faster brew time, but it's worth the wait.

Cons: filling water reservoir is somewhat awkward

After a couple of tries of getting the coffee amts right,we have mastered our great cup of java in this pot. One minor adjustment and maybe a complaint is the the top part of the carafe lid where the "pour" sign is on, is a bit difficult to turn early in the morning when you are half awake.Unless you have bright lights on(we don't--that's what the coffee is for--to wake us up)you can't see it.
Maybe a better "mark" or bump on the black plastic top would help? Also it is slow to pour and one must be patient if you are in a hurry.Other than that, we are happy with this purchase.

Ok, thought it was pricey but it is well worth the money. We are retired, I get up early, hubby a few hour's later. Coffee is still hot and fresh tasing for him. Love this coffee pot!!!

Coffee starts hot, stays hot. Carafe seems indestructible. Programming is straight-forward, but the labels wear off. This is the third DTC-975 we've purchased to support our 3- or 4-pots-a-day habit! Since the carafe seals tight, we often take it with us. Perhaps the electronics would last longer if the buttons were sealed?

Like the styling of this pot. Biggest negative is the difficulty I have reading the numbers along the side of the fill level column. Hopefully I will get used to where the number is that I use most often and won't have to read the actual number. Pot brews very good coffee. I use the disposable paper filters not the permanent filter which would have been an additional purchase.

The coffee maker is very straight forward. The easy pour top is a great addition to our old coffee maker. I like the coffee quite hot and this one comes out not needing to be microwaved.
