The nice thing about this double boiler is that it fits the 2, 3, and4 quart saucepans. It is not flimsy, has weight to it and cleans up nicely. I can't wait to get the 3 and 4 quart sauce-pans to complete my starter set of Cuisinart pots.

I decided to make candy for the first time in years, and of course somewhere in the course of my kitchen cleanups I had given away my old double boiler. No great loss - this one is MUCH better than others I've had. I like that you can use it with different size saucepans, and my chocolate melted quickly and easily with never a scorch. My only observations would be that the interior rim that allows the multi-pan use has a tendency to catch whatever's in the pan, and incorporating a small pour spout would be helpful. But all in all a well-made, handy item and I'm glad I bought it.

Favorite Brand: Calphalon
