I received the medium size roaster pan as a gift several months ago, and find myself using it for something several times a week. It has to be the most versitile pan in my cupboard. Not only have I created the best roasted chickens I have ever tasted (even surprised myself) but have been able to use it for amazing over stews, and have even used it stove top.
For Christmas this year the only thing that I am asking for is the large and small sizes.
I recommend these roasters to EVERYONE! Whether you consider yourself very amature or extremely skilled as a chef.
I have benn a home cook all my life, for over 29 yrs I couldn't find a roaster that was like what I wanted I was always disappointed. I purchased this roater less than a month ago and have used it 5 times already. It is awesome. The description doesn't do it justice from a cooks point of view. Roasts, chicken, meatloaf ( all with the veggies included) cooked to perfection. The food kept the moisture yet browned to the exact perfection. The drippings were still there to make great gravys. CHEFs has made the best, thank you.

Pros: This roaster is very nice quality and competitive price. Nice finish and seems durable. Overall we are very pleased with it. Cons: we barely got our 19-lb turkey in it, I doubt it would hold the 22-lb stated in the description. We really wanted the larger capacity roaster, but was not available.
This roaster is awesome. I made brisket in it yesterday and it turned out amazing. Easy clean up too!
Pros: Easy to Clean/Wash, easy to use, even cooking, Heat distribution, size, Tight-fitting lid, Heat retention, Appearance/ Design /Style, Performs Well, easy to store, Functional/Useful, capacity

Great Buy

Great purchase!! We cooked a 16 pound Turkey in this pan with the lid on for 4 hours. Then took the cover off(this cover fits very well to the bottom of the pan creating a great seal, and did not have to baste the bird at all) to brown up the bird the last hour. The meat on the legs literally fell off. The breast was very moist and tender. This pan was well worth the money!!!!! And clean up was so easy ( hot soapy water was all it took).
Pros: Easy to Clean/Wash, Value for Money, Warranty, easy to use, True to Color, even cooking, Heat distribution, construction, Tight-fitting lid, Heat retention, Appearance/ Design /Style, non-stick, Performs Well, easy to store, durability, Functional/Useful, Long-lasting, capacity

Nothing like it

I purchased a roasting pan similar to this 25 years ago and use it exclusively to cook beef roasts. I started washing it in the dishwasher and didn't realize it would ruin it. I was so happy to find another one. Nothing compares to how wonderful even an inexpensive cut of meat cooks in this roasting pan. Its' tender and very flavorful. I think I paid $100.00 for mine 25 years ago, so $159.00 didn't seem out of line. I will be sure not to put it in the dishwasher this time.
Pros: quality, Warranty, easy to use, even cooking, Heat distribution, construction, Heat retention, non-stick, Performs Well, durability, Long-lasting, capacity
Cons: weight, Handle gets hot

More Versatile than I could Imagine!

My grandmother had one of these and I had looked in every store to find one. No luck until I was on Chef's Catalog website. I have used it with the cover on and the cover off. Actually I used the lid for the first hour of roasting a chicken then took the lid off for the last 30 minutes to brown it. The meat fell off the bone and was moist and juicy. The only negative thing I experienced was there was not a recipe book with instructions on the desirable temperatures and browning techniques. I searched the web to find out how to use dutch ovens. For Thanksgiving this year I will use it with the lid off with my favorite stuffing in my turkey.
I absolutely love these roasting pans. They keep the food nice and moist, I have never had to add water. Clean up is a absolute breeze. I would reccomend these to anyone from the inexperinced cook to the advance cook. I have used them for stews, roasts, scalloped potatoes even soups. One of my greatest buys from Chef.
Pros: Appearance/ Design /Style, capacity, construction, durability, Easy to Clean/Wash, easy to store, easy to use, even cooking, Functional/Useful, Heat distribution, Heat retention, Long-lasting, Material, multi-purpose, non-stick, Performs Well, quality, size, Tight-fitting lid, True to Color, Value for Money, Warranty, Weight
Cons: Uncomfortable

I had a very good cook that lived next door to me. I had admired a roaster that she was using once, but never asked where she got it or what it was called. I searched for years for it till one day I came across your advertisement for them and bought two. I am very happy with being able to use them on top of the stove as well as in the oven. They are the best utensils that I have ever bought.

Big Cooker tackles big jobs

These roasters come in three sizes. I bought the middle size. It is a work of art when I set it up to roast in my kitchen. The design is well thought out. The top reverses and fits nicely for storage; this allows the unit to be stored in a medium cabinet. That top has dimples on the inner surface which makes the combination self basting. The aluminum is really heavy and the heat is nicely distributed. Projects that used to require the oven can now be done on the stovetop. I can't help but find excuses to use it. (My favorite reason is brisket..) I've never seen a turkey that too big to fit. I'm satisfied that this is a good kitchen tool.
