Customer reviews for Lodge Logic Biscuit Pan

Lodge Logic Biscuit Pan

Lodge Logic Biscuit Pan : Just spoon the batter into the wells of the pan and bake. The cast iron conducts the heat uniformly through the pan to ensure even baking so the biscuits emerge crunchy on the outside and feather-light on the inside. Hand-washing recommended. 13"W with seven 3 1/4" dia. wells. Made in USA.

I make drop biscuits instead of rolling and cutting them out and this pan has a place for each biscuits and they don't touch each other and bake together. I also want to make scones and use this pan.
The biscuits turn out well so I am sure they will too.

this was a good investment, we love biscuits this pan did a good job first go round, they came out just a bit of falling apart, but the 2nd time we added just a bit more milk and it made a difference, we also just this past weekend to make mini upside down pineapple cakes,, very good super moist, and they came right of the pan as well as the biscuits did, I do recommend this item

These are great pans-- cast iron may be heavy and a little extra work to care for but the results when cooking/baking more than make up for that. I haven't tried these for biscuits yet but I have made little cornbreads in them and that works beautifully... though in my opinion the pans still need some more seasoning to get the right crunchy crust on the bottom. I have no doubt they'll improve with use. And I appreciate that these pans are versatile-- from other reviewers' comments it's clear they can be used for a lot more than just baking biscuits.

i have used this pan both for biscuits, muffins, scones, and cornbread in the oven and for abelskivers (filled pancakes) on top of the stove .. i love the even heating and golden brown bottoms of whatever i am cooking ..
you cannot get such even heating from a regular pan ..
if you are just thinking about purchasing this pan, don't hesitate .. you will love the many uses and excellent baking properties ..
just having this pan brings a warm nostalgic feeling to my kitchen .. as though i have owned it for many generations .. i am sure my children will be able to pass this pan on to their children ..

I absolutely love my pan and get a lot of use out of it. You can use this pan to make so many different things other than just drop biscuits. For instance, I like making scones, muffins, mini meatloaf’s (for Weight Watcher portion control), low-fat brownies, rolls, corn bread muffins. The bottoms turn out beautifully golden brown and are crisp. So many versatile uses for this pan!

I use this contantly for a lot a of things not just biscuits. It's great for portion control as well as cooking personal size things for children like mini pizzas or mini cheese omlets for a brunch. I can't tell you all the times Ive pulled this out to use for in a week's time.
Pros: so many uses
Cons: should have bought 2

comfort from cast iron-not just for biscuits

Just looking at this pan makes me think of the comforts of home cooking. This pan has a good weight to it and performs wonderfully. It is well made and could very easily be an heirloom to pass on the comfort that I've received from it. You can use this pan to make many things other than biscuits. Plus, it looks beautiful hanging in my kitchen, waiting for its next use.
Pros: the uniform heating
Cons: cast iron does require special care
