I have been wanting an item like this for YEARS, just didn't ever see one. LOVE it. Works on everything from inexpensive cereal bowls to fine crystal. A friend told me about the Crystal Crafter and I have shared information with other friends and they ordered one for home and extras for gifts.

The crystal crafter is useful for only the tiniest of nicks. Even small ones take a lot of time to even out and then it is nearly impossible to get the edge really smooth. On the plus side, it is easy enough to smooth the edge so no gets a cut lip.

I followed the directions and it did a great job on the depression sandwich plate handle. Just like new! I would highly recommend the Crystal Crafter. Can't wait to "fix" some other items.

This item seems to work well fairly well on both crystal and porcelain - it soothes the nicks, but leaves a bit of a "ditch" in the rim.

Crystal Crafter

We like this product very much. We just ordered our second one. It does a good job of repairing minor chips and cracks. It smooths out the crystal nicely. If the crack is large there will be a noticeable change in the shape of the rim, but it will take out the sharp edges. Most useful for minor flaws.

A 'Must have'

Within a day of ordering this item, my husband chipped the bottom of one of his favorite crystal drinking glasses. Thankfully, I didn't throw the glass out, as I would normally do. I thought with the chip being on the bottom edge of the glass, we could 'get by' using it. That is, until I cut myself. I tried the 'CrystalCrafter', and with just a few, short strokes, the jagged edge was ground down to a 'smooth-to-the-touch' finish.
This product saved me the expense of a new crystal glass, and extended the life of the one I have. A great value, and a 'must-have' for any kitchen.

Buy A New Glass - It's Cheaper

I bought this item thinking I could salvage a $20 crystal highball glass, but instead made the chip even bigger such that I had to throw the glass away. This CrystalCrafter how lies buried in one of my drawers and I'm afraid to use it again lest I'll have to trash more of my crystal glassware. My recommendation is to save yourself the time and money and just buy yourself another new glass - not this item!

This works very well for small chips, but make sure you read the directions and use water. I learned the hard way, attempting to use is on a chipped crystal glass without reading the directions and not using water which caused another larger chip. But if you use water and follow the directions it does a good job, mind you it still won't be like new, but it will be usable and not one will get injured from a chipped glass.
