I say second because I bought my daughter a Rosle can opener for Christmas last year. After her bragging on the ease-of-use and how great it was overall, on how 'modern' it was in removing the lid I had to buy one for my kitchen too.
And you know what - she is right. This is one of the best products I have bought from Chef's.

its small to the hand,itsdifficult to seperate the top from the can once its cut.other wise its works very good,a magnet for the top would work wonders. its a little stiff to turn with a thin turn key,but other wise it seems to be a durabil opener.

this is the 2nd one I have purchased from Chef's and I love it, especially the way you can replace the lids and never get cut with sharp edges....

I bought this can opener for myself a couple of years ago and absolutely love it. I like the fact that there are no sharp edges and that the top can be used as a lid if needed. I liked it so much, I bought another one for my daughter.

This is a great can opener, I even bought one for my mother-in -law she is 84 and she loves it too! Easy to use. I give this a 5 star I have already recommended this to friends and family.

Love how it cuts the can. Smooth edge.
Cons: it has to fit just right on the can in order to work. & you need some strength to use it. Young children/older adults will find this tool too complicated and too tough to work.
Overall, I love this tool -- It does the job! You also save bec you can use the lid as a cover.

This item appealed to me due to a more hygenic approach to can opening.
Though a bit pricey and unusual in design, it absolutely delivers on functional and results based issues.

What a creative and imaginative invention the Rosle safety can opener is! Rust consistently formed on my old style turn can opener and always needed washing. This can opener works like a charm and never touches the contents of the can. Wish I knew about this can opener years ago.

I have used this can opener for years. I no longer have to worry about sharp edges and the resultant cuts. I purchased this one for a friend and she too loves it. And Rosle stands behind their products!

I am pleased to finally have a blunt safe edge to the cut-off can top. I have a 4 inch scar from a can opener leaving a wickedly sharp edge on the can's top.

I have tried other products of this type before. None of then lasted or even came close to doing the job that this product does. This is a quality product that will last years. I will do more business with this company as a result of this product.

I bought this can opener to use as a backup to my electric one in case the power went out. it was a little tricky to use to begin with, but once I got it going it worked perfectly. The top comes off clean and there are no jagged edges. I would recommend this product.

This started out as a great can opener, but, alas, it has stopped working properly after about two-three years.
The opener no longer aligns properly and cuts into instead of below the rim.
I have handled the opener with care, have not put it in the dish washer, not left it soaking in water and have not used it very often because we purchase very few canned items. It looks like new.
I tried to contact the company, but their site did not have the US listed as a country option (which was required in order to send an email) and so I was unable to email them. The only way to contact them therefore is by over seas mail. Very little warrenty information was given and no warrenty address was given on the site.
Too bad the can opener no longer works properly.
Up until this time I would have recommended it highly as I really liked how it worked, as well as how it left the cans safe to handle.

This can opener is the not only excellent at opening cans, but is also easy to use. Other can openers may do the job once you figure out how to use, but the Rosle is easy. It provides a side cut so the lid comes off easily without falling into the can. Seems pretty sturdy, but if it ever breaks, I will buy a new one.
