"I have been through several kinds of sink strainers, as alot of us have. All of the others are SO HARD to get completely clean. This stainless steel catches all of the food, etc., that wants to go down the sink, and I can get it completely clean. Also, if you have a husband who is rough on everything like I do, this one will stand up to him."

So much better than plastic!

"I had a plastic/rubber strainer in the drain for a while, and it became stained with everything that passed through it. I never felt like it was clean, and it ended up looking pretty hideous. Plus, the tiny holes clogged constantly.
This strainer, though, is great. It looks fantastic, lets water through while trapping debris, and doesn't clog. I'd rather have a garbage disposal, but this is the best alternative."

Do yourself a favor, GET ONE!

"I don't have a garbage disposal (personal choice, I don't like them, plus they take up so much room, instead I installed a pull out trash container), so I was concerned about all the little bits of food going down my drain, because the strainer that comes with the sink is just about useless. This strainer is a must-have for all kitchen sinks! It's strong, doesn't rust, it catches all the tiny bits of food, and so easy to clean. Once in a while just throw it into dishwasher and that's it. I have bought and given away a few. My mom says every time she does the dishes, she thinks of me!"
