I've had this smoker for over 5 years now. Its an excellent smoker, works well and has held up well in an outdoor environment for over 5 years. This is my first wood smoker and its very easy to use and maintain. Capacity is somewhat limited, but I've found ways to use its limited space more efficiently. It still has plenty of room to feed an entire party. Also, the design has some pros and cons. the tubular shape means you have to remove everything from the top rack in order to access the bottom meat rack. The tubular shape and handles does make it easy to add more coals if desired. The water pan is a must in any smoker and this one has a large water pan that lasts for more than 6 hours. I use approx 4 lbs of wood coals and that lasts for over 6 hours. Mainting temp is very easy. Once going, I literally "set it and forget it". I have no problem maintaining an even temp just above 200. The small door helps to add oxygen to your fire if needed, but I rarely have a problem after the fire is going. (I use a chimney starter for best results.) For the money, I cannot recommend a better smoker. I've tried upgrading to a bigger, better smoker grill but always come back to this one. It cannot be beat. Simple in design and low in price, but it still trumps other smokers costing 10 times as much.
