If you have a temperamental oven like ours, you will appreciate knowing what temp your oven is actually running at! easy to read, could be slightly more stable than just hanging on rack, but, overall - does the job!
Recently someone made an oyster casserole but the oven was not working properly and what she didn't realize is that her oven's thermostat was broken and never reached the required temperature. This could have been a very dangerous situation. People really need to be aware if there oven is not heating properly. Only by constant use of a good quality thermometer like this Taylor version can you do that. I had no problems attaching it to my rack. I wouldn't be "caught dead" without one!

I am disappointed with how hard it is to read this thermometer while it is in the oven and you are baking something. I have to open the oven door and hold the thermometer at an angle where it can be read--not good because you let too much heat out during this process.

Everything was burning -- the oven was running hot. This thermometer was a godsend. I discoverd my oven is a consistent 25 degrees too hot. Now I just subtract t25 from the recipe temp and I'm set. A lot cheaper than a new stove! Love it. And thank you.
Pros: easy to use, size, Value for Money, Appearance/ Design /Style
Cons: need bbigger numbers--my eyes are bad

I find this very easy to read, and seems very acurrate. The only complaint I have, is you can't set it on a rack in the oven, only hang it, as the base is not wide enough to span the rungs.
Pros: easy to use, size, Performs Well, Easy to Clean/Wash, Value for Money, Appearance/ Design /Style, easy to store, Functional/Useful
Cons: Construction

I purchased the oven thermometer even though the reviews stated it was not easy to hang, stand or clip to the oven rack and even broke very easily. Sure enough, the clip broke while I was trying to secure it to a rack. I considered myself warned.

Measures temperature well.

As a thermometer, it works very well. Positioning it in the oven is a problem, however. The product description says you can "hang, stand, or clip it onto an oven rack." You can in fact clip it onto a rack so that it hangs, but it won't stand up. There's no way to secure the support so that the thermometer won't fall over. I give it 5 stars as a thermometer, only 3 stars for ease of use.
Pros: Appearance/ Design /Style, Performs Well
Cons: Not as described, Difficult to use

A Much Needed Thermometer

This Taylor Professional Oven Thermometer has solved the problems I have been having with my oven. Checking the temperature of my oven with this product, I found out that the oven temperature is way off from the stoves dial. Most often, everything seemed to burn long before the time stated on the recipes.
Pros: easy to use, Performs Well, quality

Received as gift and have only had in the oven for about 4 uses. Problem wtih clip in that it doesn't fit very well on my oven rack. The spaces between the rack are smaller and do not accommodate the clip very well.

This unit has completely discolored and the face is unreadable at this point. The max temperature the thermometer has been exposed to so far has been 375 degrees. Also a fine white powder has been dislodging from the back of the unit so it is no longer even in my oven
