Received one for Christmas. Cut up potato's, filled it with oil , and turned it on. It did not work.I have not sent it back yet, I am looking for the box which I think went out in the garbage. It reminds me why I like to purchase at a local store.

I recieved this Deep Fryer as a gift for my birthday. My son has serious food allergies and I make a lot of his food here at home. He LOVES french fries, most places that we have taken him to eat aren't really sure what kind of oil they cook with making eating out a real challenge. I LOVE my Waring Deep Fryer, its easy to use and keep clean. My husband & I love cooking with it for our son and he gets to feel like all the other kids who get to eat at McDonalds.

I am a little disappointed in this fryer- it is my second Waring Pro-this one doesn't have the on off switch that the older model had and doesn't seem nearly as well made

I like this fryer. It was a little smaller than I expected.
I have a family of five so I usually have to use 2 fryers to make enough food at the same time. I was hoping to get away from that. Other than that it works great!!!

Received this product a week ago and can't seem to put it away. I had a fish-fry party and it was great. I didn't had to wait for a few fish to fry, with this fryer, I was able to feed 10 people at one shot. Nice and hot. Love it.

Perfect. Basket is shallower and wider to allow food more space to fry. Our old one had a deeper basket and I had to stir food to get to cook even. Like this much better.

This professional fryer is amazing. Most typical fryers will reach temperatures of around 325 - 350 degrees. And hardly any of them have a thermostat control. I know because I've had a couple of them and I was very disappointed. Well, this fryer goes up to 375 degrees, allowing me a variety of items to cook. Tonight I buttermilk battered sliced portabella mushrooms and some fresh okra -- fried at 350 degrees for a few minutes and they were crispy, browned up nicely, just like the ones at a restaurant. They taste great. And fried chicken is perfect. This fryer is also safe as long as you follow the manufacture's instructions. There are 2 fill lines inside the fryer. You are to only fill oil between the two lines -- no more, no less. It takes the guess work out of frying. And the timer also comes in handy. The only minus is the VERY short cord. I guess that is for safety precautions, too. But everything else more than makes up for that little annoyance. The appearance is perfect for me because it matches my stainless steel appliances.

I was astourded with the ease of use of the Waring Pro right out of the box. All I did was wash the Washable parts, fill it with cooking oil. and was frying my chicken wings. What a great Deep Fryer, I did not have the tell tale kitchen smell after Frying my wings. The filter really works.
The Waring Pro is very easy to clean up, just let the oil cool, then pour it into the Waring Oil Resevor, Put the Washable parts in the dish washer, and you can relax.
I world recommend this product to any one that is looking for restraunt quality Fried Foods right in your own kitchen.

I have been very please with the fryer. Its basket is not very deep which works great for frying smaller items, as they do not get stuck on top of each other.

I owned a steak house for 18 years. I miss being able to fry appetizers etc whenever you want. This fryer is great for home use. It's big enough to fry ample amounts for 2 people yet small enough to not take up too much space on your counter. The lid is nice for keeping spattering down to a miminum and heats up pretty fast. Easy to clean and love the magnetic cord. Wish it was a little longer, not everyone have a recepticle within 18 inches of where you need to use it.

We received our machine promptly from Chefs. The machine was easy to set up, and we deep fried a perfect batch of french fries. Two days later, when we had guests waiting for dinner, the machine would not not heat the oil. The power light was on, but nothing we tried would get the elements to heat the oil. This is not a indication of quality.
Chefs has agreed to replace the unit, but we now need to go through the time and trouble of sending the machine back. So we're off to the UPS Store to ship this garbage back.
Ask yourself if you really want to have to do this before you risk purchasing this model.

Hey, simple setup, grease gets really hot, fried catfish fillets came out looking and tasting like professional fried catfish. Great product and easy to operate. Clean-up is another story.

I just received this. Decided for the first use I would try fried chicken. I highly recommend not using this for fried chicken unless you fry it to get the coating and then finish it off in the oven. The first several pieces came out perfect, but every one after that came out burnt, juicy, but burnt. I would highly recommend this for french fries, onion rings, appetizers, etc., but not fried chicken.
