I love this. It makes cutting the roast so easy and no waste. The only thing with pork tenderloins is down at the small end it does not close enough to hold the the meat. Well worth it.

My husband just loves these tongs. They not only help remove and cuts roasts, they are also excellent for many other items as well. We use them to remove artichokes from boiling water, as an example.
This will be our thrid pair in 40 years. Thank you Chefs for carring this indispensable kitchen tool.

This product is just terific. It holds pork and beef roasts and the ease of cutting slices is the best. I have never had such uniform slices of my tenderloin until now. Highly recommended!

Wouldn't be Without This!

I ordered this after I was not adept/strong enough follow recipe directions to use a long spoon and cooking fork to turn a roasting chicken 3 times. Your illustration showed the product as a carving device, but the user reviews spoke of other possibilities. The day after it arrived, my husband used it for turning our Long Island duck twice. Easy and perfect! This is a great way to get a wonderfully crunchy crust with succulent meat. We both get around on walkers but we couldn't have handled the bird as well when we were at our fittest. Looking forward to using it on a pork roast tomorrow. Just the right weight, stores almost flat when folded, and cleans easily. Cooking is a tonic when our disabilities get us down. These tongs are so helpful in accomplishing ambitious objectives!

Almost Satisfied

These worked very well for me as tongs on several roasts. As a cutting guide I would rate 3 out of 5. On pork loin works great, but on larger roasts, tongs are not long enough to insert knife unless you grip higher. I would purchase again just for the performance as tongs.

Big Disappointment

I got these in hopes of helping me slice roasts, but they are very difficult to hold and cut at the same time. I had to have my husband stand over my shoulder holding the gripper, while I sliced the meat.
Cons: Difficult to use, Performance, slippery

An Amazing Gadget

I thought my kitchen was 'complete', but not until I added this amazing gadget! The usefulness of this tool is unlimited. I cannot live without it, I absolutely love it! When I fixed a pork roast for my family, my brother-in-law (who is the cook in their house) said, "Look at those perfect slices, how did you do that?", I beamed with excitement and showed him the tongs. Presentation has taken on a whole new meaning with this tool. I gave a pair to my sister who uses the slow cooker, and she is as excited as I am. Thank you Chef's for making available so many useful items in your catalog and on your website. I am a 'customer for life'.
Pros: reliable and easy to use.

I'm mixed on this product. It can be used many ways, but the handles like to slip out of my hands. This could possibly be a hand-strength issue of my own, but it's spooked me a couple of times. My hubby likes it, and uses it.
Pros: multi-functional
Cons: handles can be a little slippery

Struggles are over

I brown all roasts on all sides before I put them in the oven. These tongs have saved me lots of stress. I was using those turkey lifters and everything I could think of but nothing was working too good. I didn't want to puncture the roast so sometimes it was pretty tricky. When I saw these, even though they are marketed as "Roast Cutting Tongs," I knew I had found a valuable tool. I have used them for browning roasts, for taking ham bones out of the water and using them to assist in getting the hot meat off of the bones. They are German made and very high quality. I know I will find many uses for theses wonderful tongs. Oh, and husband the meat carver has used them while carving the roasts; as a guide for cutting as shown, but mostly just to hold on to the roast while carving. These are a really big hit with both of us.

These are very useful in every way! I have used them to place and remove a roast from a crock pot, a roasting pan as well as on the grill! So nice and they have a good weight. I knew that these were great for slicing meat - but it also works for French and Italian bread slicing!! Multi-tasking, an excellent buy and I got another set that I may or may not give as a gift.

A Must Have

I don't know how I ever got by without this product before. After years of struggling with using oddball utensils to move a roast from the crock pot or a pork loin from the roasting pan (creaing a mess along the way), I have found these tongs to a lifesaver. You can carve your dinner without it moving all over the cutting board and have nice uniform slices. You can feel that this is a high quality item just holding it in your hand and know that you will own them for many years to come.
