Heavy-Duty Brining Bags : Heavy-duty plastic bags with zipper-seals. Small: 14"sq., 1.5-gal., holds a 6 - 8 lbs. of meat. Set of 4. Large: 23.75" x 19.5", 4-gal., holds up to 23 lb. turkey. Set of 2.
I'd never cooked a turkey before, but had heard brining was essential. These bags were impressively thick and easy to close. A tool was included to help seal the bag, but even with slippery turkey hands I didn't need it to get a good secure seal. I used a straw to draw out the extra air before sealing and my bird was beautifully submerged.
The bag worked perfectly. It has two zipper seals. We kept our bird in a cooler in the bag with ice in and around. It was an 18.5lb turkey and I added 1 gallon of brine and 1 gallon of water plus ice.
I used this product yesterday (11-24), turkey came out great. I was worried about the turkey not browning in a bag. But it came out a golden brown. Just right. It was so moist. I will definitely use again.
I use these bags to brine my turkey for thanksgiving, and ham for christmas. This is great because I do not need a big pot in the fridge ,I just put brine ,spices and meat in the bag and place it in a drawer in the fridge.
Bags were great , no leaks, easy to handle and seal.

WE brined a turkey for Christmas dinner this year. There was ample room in it for the turkey and all the brine. The turkey was tender, juicey and full of flavor. {and it stayed that way for three days } We will buy more bags.
