Shun Ken Onion 3" Paring Knife

Shun Ken Onion 3" Paring Knife : About the design: Award-winning knife designer Ken Onion created an ambidextrous handle with an angled offset bolster and stability bump on the lower portion for maximum comfort. The knife is "zero balanced" at the center for control. The slightly elevated PakkaWood handles allow for full contact between the knife and the cutting surface while protecting the cook's knuckles. It's ergonomic design at its best.

Bought three Shun Ken knives as a gift for my husband. He enjoys using them all and is very impressed with all tasks, cutting, peeling, and fine chopping of herbs etc. A winner!
In the kitchen, I'm never without: my tea towel.

Japanese knives, which Shun is, are ground to 16 degrees rather than the German 22 + degrees, so they are sharper. The ken Onion ergonomic handle molds to your hand giving you a feeling of being one with the knife. So easy to control and get the results you want. There is none finer. Worth every penny. Ken Onion Shun knives are the only way to go for me.
Pros: Appearance/ Design /Style, balanced, construction, durability, Easy to Clean/Wash, easy to use, Ergonomic handle, Performs Well, quality, Value for Money

If you actually know how to use a knife, can take care of them, and love to cook, these are tops. They are not for opening boxes, or cutting cans in half. They will however cut food like a surgeons scalpel.
In the kitchen, I'm never without: A good knife
Favorite Brand: Shun
