Based on feedback from other customers, I bought this one and I absolutely agree with the reviews! This is a great reversible carving board for meats and poultry and custom-sized juice wells! The inset handles are also functional! Another great product from Chef's!

I bought this as a gift for my husband. It's very sturdy and generous proportioned to handle any cut of meat we cook. The deep side channels keep the messy juice off the counter. Yay!
I have a brother-in-law who would have beef every night for the rest of his life if he could. Could not have (and I looked) found a better carving board anywhere. He loved it and has raved about it to all of his "beef buddies". Great size and quality, very pleased.

This worked great when we had our annual Christmas rib roast. It made cutting easy. And no juice splattering and seeping onto the counter. It's very heavy, big (it is for carving roasts afterall) and a little pricey, but functions well.

This reversible carving board worked great with our Thanksgiving turkey, no slipping or sliding on the cutting board. Was able to carve with no mess. It was also easy to clean as well.

I CAN'T BELIEVE I NEVER THOUGHT TO BUY A CARVING BOARD BEFORE. IT'S SO MUCH MORE SENSIBLE TO PUT THE MEAT ON SOMETHING STABLE THAN TO TRY CUTTING IT ON A PLATE AND HAVE IT SLIP AND SLIDE AROUND. I HAVE BEEN OILING THE BOARD WITH THE MINERAL OIL THAT I BOUGHT FROM CHEF'S CATALOG SO THE WOOD WON'T CRACK.

Excellent! This is just what I was looking for to prevent the turkey and roast beef juices from going all over the kitchen floor. Mine arrived Xmas eve morning, and I've used it twice already (once for turkey, once for roast beef) and it works well. I did research before purchasing a wooden board over plastic. From what I read from unbiased researchers, wooden boards harbor less bacteria than plastic boards. As the researchers recommend, I've oiled the board with butcher block quality mineral oil before the first use and then after each use. It cleans up easily and looks beautiful, too.

Love this cutting board!
We did a huge turkey for Christmas dinner, and it fit the board great. It held all the juices and the indentation for the bird made it very stable during carving.
The only awkward part is cleaning the board; it's size made it a little difficult to fit in the sink. Also, maybe I should have treated the board first with walnut oil before using -- I didn't. Because after cleaning, the board felt dry, almost like I needed to sand it. I'll treat it regularly with oil, and I'm sure it will be fine.
BTW, this is a very handsome looking cutting board. I would buy this board again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice cutting board.
Perfect for chicken on one side and medium-rare meat on the other. Catches all the juices and keeps them off your counter top and keeps the meat from sliding around. This should be the perfect size for a turkey. Can't wait until Christmas to try it with the bird on it. I would recommend this to anyone

I bought this board before Thanksgiving. I was so tired of having the juice from my Turkey all over the counter and the bird slide when we are carving. This board solved both of those problems and it is absolutely beautiful.

Bought this board for its poultry well for Thanksgiving....I had a 26lb bird and it stayed on the board without budging even as I flipped it over. Problem is finding a large enough board that allows you to dissect the bird and carve the meat on it at the same time unless you make your own. Cleaned up ok, wood seems to be rough now and the smooth feel is gone with a simple washing. It served my purpose though and I'm satisfied.

For carving any of our meats, or fish this board has been the best I have ever purchased, and know we will have it for many years to come. Before washing, I wipe it down with bleach, to kill any bacteria. We just love it.

I purchased this cutting board specifically because I was looking for a board that had a very deep well. I was tired of the juices running all over my countertop when I carved a roast chicken. This one does the job. I actually always use the roast side (deeper well) not the poultry side. I'm very pleased with it.
This is probably the best Cutting board I have ever purchased. The reversible design is great. One side with the pyramid points to hold pretty much any thing you can think of in place. The other side with the well that can hold up to a 25 lb Turkey in place while carving,and both sides have a channel to catch all juices.It is also one of the Best quality woods I have seen on a cutting board. This is just one Amazing Product. I would deffinately recommend this to everyone I know and I cook for a living.

Finally, I've found a carving board that meets my needs...large enough to accommodate a large turkey and with deep enough wells along the edge to catch all the juices before they run over the edge of the counter (which has been my curse the past few Thanksgivings!). The cutting surface is large so there is room for the sliced meat on the board as you carve. An added bonus is that the board is reversible and accommodates both poultry and large cuts of meat like beef tenderloin. Made of maple, this board will last for years. Great product!
