I purchased 2 sets and I've used them to individually serve broiled lobster tail, steak or chicken. I wish they were a 13x10 size. I could fit a lobster tail with rice and veg, but a smaller portion. They are super great for serving a brie, and roasted veg and garlic appetizer or nachos! Perfect presentation on the wood underliner. They heat evenly, there has been no "peeling" of any kind and they handle the broiler on "High "with no issues. Retain the heat well & easy to clean.

These platters are typically used for hot dishes like beef or Southwest type entree's. They are typical Lodge quality, heavy and pre-seasoned. My wife and I try to use our patio as much as possible in the summer season here in New York and the heat holding ability of these platters has made evening dinners outside an enjoyable affair keeping our dinners warm. Another use that we discovered was chilling the platters to keep our lunch time salads cool during the warm summer months. They are a good quality product with both hot and cold uses. We liked them so much we gave them as gifts to a number of relatives.

I really loved how juicy and flavorful my steak came out. I would definitely recommend this to everyone.
