OXO Mango Splitter and Peeler Set : This
ingenious duo lets you remove mango seeds, cut the fruit
in half, and peel. The corer slicer cuts cleanly through
the fruit and leaves almost nothing behind except the
seed. Easy grips let you comfortably press the sharp
stainless-steel blades through the fruit. The swivel
action of the stainless-steel serrated blades on the
peeler grabs skins from both directions to peel the
delicate skin of the mango without bruising. Both items
are dishwasher-safe.

I thought maybe this would just go in my drawer with the other gadgets that don't work but I took the chance and I am so glad I did...this Mango splitter works GREAT !! Love it !!

If you love mangoes, you will love this product. No more mangled fruit and no waste around the pit. One downward press, pit gone, mango perfect.
Who knew I needed a serrated peeler? Great for thin-skinned fruits and veggies.
Blade is very sharp - take extra care when using and always put the blade cover on when storing.

From the first use the peeler and the splitter have saved me so much time. I was peeling with a knife before and ended up wasting so much of the mango, as well as mushing it before even having the chance to slice it. The peeler was also great for fresh papaya. I have reduced my mango peeling and slicing production time down by more than half which is exactly what I was hoping would be the result. Both tools were very easy to use and the cushions on the handles of the splitter had the cutting process easier. The wide handle on the cutter improved my grip over a regular vegetable peeler.

When I found this mango set, I thought it might be one of those items that would languish in my gadget drawer. It works well - the peeler takes off the peel without damaging the fruit, and if you follow the directions, the pitter splits the mango and most of the fruit is very usable. This set has made using mangoes easier and quicker. Thanks OXO for another comfortable and usable gadget!

Each time we return from a tropical vacation my wife and I treat our children & grandchildren to a tropical feast. In spite of messy past experiences with mango peeling/splitting, I forged ahead and succeeded in mangling eight mangoes for our chicken and fish dinner. A quick trip to chefscatalog.com for a solution resulted in the delivery of these two items several days later. It's hard to say which tool is more impressive. The serrated blade of the peeler allows you to virtually skim off the skin without catching and shredding any of the delicate flesh beneath. According to the product information the peeler works well on peaches and other similar thin-skinned fruit and vegetables. Once the mango is quickly peeled, you simply center the splitter over the fruit (base of mango down) and push. The pit is left with two beautiful mango halves lying on each side ready to be slicesdor diced. There is a small amount of usable mango flesh on each side of the pit that can easily be sliced away.
The easy grips on both also make these a breeze to use and both are dishwasher-safe. Be sure to remove the plastic blade guard from the peeler before using (it works much better without the guard in place).
