i purchased 3 of these boards for my daughter and daughter-in-laws. They have raved about the use and versatility of this pasty board. I got one for myself sometime ago and new the girls would find it to be very functional for holiday baking. LOVE IT it makes kneeding bread dough so much easier with the ridge at the counter to keep the board from traveling across the counter. We recomend to all serious dough makers

I saw this pastry board about a year ago in the catalog and it seemed like it would be a secure surface to roll out pastry dough instead of having one that slips around on the countertop. I've only had it about 2 weeks and I was right, it stays in place and it makes rolling out any pastry so much easier because it doesn't move. It is heavy and I'm thinking I need to find a place to store it between uses. Its size markings are a great reference along with the ruler at the top. Chefs catalog has a wonderful selection of products for anyone that likes to cook.

I am very impressed with the quality of the wood and the weight. It is heavy so does not move around easily. The diagrams on the top are great for measuring the size of the pie dough.

I bought this board as a Christmas present to myself after years of using a cutting board for my pastry and having it slide about all over the counter. This board solves that problem, and has the measurements for all kinds of sized pie crusts. You can turn it over too, and use the other side for other tasks, but mine stays on pastry side where it gets used all the time. Great product.

When this pastry board arrived, I was surprised at the weight. Upon opening it, I was impressed with the overall size and thickness of the wood used. I looked at other pastry boards from other websites and this one was far less expensive and built just as well.

This is a Christmas gift for my husband. I would be glad to write a review after the holidays. But in the meantime, I can tell you that he wanted this product the minute he saw it in your catalog. It is all I can do not to give it to him NOW ! Of all the pastry boards I have looked at...and I have looked at many...this is the best I have seen. I am sure we will have it for a very long time if not forever.

I have always had a hard time to make pies crust,with this pastry board ,that will never happen again,the crust rolls out so easy and never sticks to the board,now I'm making pies all the time and my family is loving every bite,thank you for this product ,and making it so affordable.

My Christmas wishlist was short, but this item was at the top. I had used a plastic roll-up device for many years for rolling dough, but always had the same problem - it simply wouldn't lay flat. I had to secure it on all four corners to prevent it from curling. When I saw this, I knew it was a must for my kitchen. After admiring it for many months, I am finally in possession of a superior quality pastry board. I was amazed at the beauty/quality of the hardwood and couldn't wait to try it out. After having done so, I am extremely satisfied. If you're considering this purchase, don't hesitate. It is well worth the money.

The size is great. I can roll out any cookies, pie crust, or bread on this beautiful board. I don't have to worry about it moving around either, with the lip to keep it in place. It is pretty enough to leave on the cabinet all the time.

This is perfect for kitchens that don't have a specific area for the baker. The front lip holds it in place and the back splash eliminates counter mess.
I have used both sides, not really needing the pie shell dimensions, but the rectangle sizing is perfect for rolling out puff pastries and such. My husband loves to cut up large quantities of veggies for stir fry and minestrone soups.
It is not too heavy, but enough to do the job. I put it in the pantry on it's side and it stands up perfectly.
So glad we bought it, so glad you offered it.
