Great settings/speed options. Quieter then my previous blenders. Very high quality and a joy to use. Best blender I've owned. Would definitely make this purchase again.

i researched many blenders, probably over researched and the best one was looking me straight in the face. this blender does it all. It's easy to clean and the rubber lid is perfect. I would definitely invest in this machine.. bought one for my son for Christmas who is in cooking school he loves it too!

This blender is just tops. Finally we get smooth smoothies and wonderful margaritas! Takes a little bit getting used to, since the "ice crush" & "smoothie" function are automatically set to pulse and start & stop at their own will - but if you let the blender do its work, you'll get great results. Easy to clean, no grooves for gunk to collect around buttons, rubber lid seals great even if it's not banged on all the way. Read the instructions before you start - this blender IS different. I think that's why it actually works. We upgraded to this from a mid-size Cuisinart. There is no comparison. Worth every Penny.

This blender is top of the line! I did a lot of research before purchasing this product. Although expensive, this blender is the real deal! Easy to use, efficient, and easy to clean. The base and jar are heavy and sturdy. The brushed stainless steel is easy to clean and resists smudges. If you want a serious blender, this is the one!

This is a great commercial quality blender. I usually need to replace my blender every six months to a year because they get so much use. I don't forsee throwing this one out nearly as soon. This one is so sturdy and the blades are amazing. It makes great smoothies and chops the frozen fruit better than any blender I've tried. I would definitely buy this model again. The only down side I have found is that the base holds water in the dishwasher. I can overlook that though.

My family joined Herbalife, and good blender was required to make there delicious shakes/smoothies. Couln't have purchased a better piece of equipment To do job. Oh by the way, we've lost a total of 5 pounds in the first week.

I have a $300 Margaritaville and the Breville is so much easier to clean and to store and it blends faster. The fact that you have your choice of 5 speeds means it is more versitle also. I use my blender 99% of the time for fruit smoothies or blended cocktails and the blades turn ice into really smooth flakes. It's awesome! I love it! The Margaritaville only comes out when I need more than one. Should have purchased 2 Brevilles and saved a lot of money!

The Breville Ikon Die-Cast Blender is the best blender I have owned. Not only does it produce smooth smoothies...imagine...but it does so very quietly. What a treat. I use the Breville at least once a day, and I'm thrilled a bit more at each use.
My only minor complaint is that the two-piece lid is very difficult to separate for cleaning. In fact, it came so tightly fastened from the factory that I have been unable to pull the pieces apart. Because there is no place to grip and twist, the lid design doesn't help.

After having burnt our my second KitchenAid, I decided to upgrade my blender. Wasn't quite ready to shell out $400, and this one looked like a reasonable mid-price, semi-professional choice. It is gorgeous, so I have left it out on the counter, and it seems very sturdy/well-built. Takes a deliberate approach to powering up (no jerky surging) and crushed ice drinks are not a problem. Not the largest capacity, but okay. Pretty quiet. Comes apart for cleaning (with the included tool -- need to keep that in a safe place!) fairly easily. So far so good!

This blender was more expensive than others I was considering but I'm glad I popped for the better machine. This is a great, powerful machine. Blends up smoothies from frozen fruits with ease and is a lot quieter than the old (much cheaper) blender that it replaced. My only problem is disassembling for cleaning. A special tool is supplied to remove the blades and gasket for cleaning which really do become too tight to remove without it. It's just a pain to have to keep track of a special tool for the job. That's my only complaint - a small one, believe me.

After my 38 year old blender finally gave it up, I purchased this. I love it! I have used it for smoothies and it does a great job on the smoothie setting. It is not too loud. I have to ensure that I tighten the bottom enough or it will leak. The glass it thick enough that it should not break. I look forward to many years of using this.

This blender does everything you want a blender to do. It can even crush ice for snow cones. It does the job quickly and without the leaks that I have often gotten from other blenders. It has a more than ample motor.

I bought this blender and at first I was not sure if I liked it. When I finally used the smoothie button I made the best smoothie's. I let someone convince me that the Blendtec was better. I just so happens that there was a live demonstration so I went and I bought one. I was so excited until I tried to make my smoothie. For having so much more power I thought that it would whip through any thing. Well let me tell you that the Breville can pulverize a hole apple but with the Blendtec you had to quarter it and add fluid. The design of the blade and bowl really make short work of anything you give it.

This blender is a must-have. It produces consistent particles. The pulse function and two programs for ice crushing and smoothies are just great, you load ingredients and walk away. the blender does the job and stays put..
It is also rated aat the top of the Consumer Reports list behind two much more expensive models.

A Great Find in Blenders

Woo who! I've finally found the blender that’s right for me!
My Breville BBL600XL is both a pleasure to use and super easy to clean. I love using the pre-sets for crushing ice and blending smoothies—a real time-saver, that’s for sure! And the motor is tough enough to stand up to any application I throw at it.
The icing on the cake is it's so sleek and stylish that I never feel a need to stash it away like I did the old blender. And with my new Breville always convenient on the countertop, I find I use it for a lot of applications I never thought possible. It has virtually replaced my more awkward-to-use (and hard-to-clean) food processor for all sorts of chopping, grating and blending jobs. It’s the tops! I’m definitely telling my friends about this great find.
Cons: may not fit under all overhead cabinets.

This blender is absolutely the best...from smoothies to margaritas...it does it all. Crushing ice is a breeze. To get peak performance from this blender, do yourself a favor and read the instructions on how to operate this blender prior to using it. The shape of the canister lends to perfect blending every time. It is easy to clean and looks so professional I leave it on my counter top, whereas my previous blenders were hidden in my pantry. Thank you Breville for another quality product!

I have had many blenders and this is by far the best blender I have ever bought. I have a special pumpkin pie recipe that you blend hot in the blender and this blender holds all the filling and blends it beautifully. It's a awesome product and I would highly recommend it to everyone.

I use my blender to make emulsions, butter sauces, vinaigrettes and soups. I particularly like this blender because it has a wide base which makes for even blending (in other words - the sauce doesn't get thicker at the bottom than at the top). It's also very easy to clean. I''m very happy w/ it.

Deciding to spend this much on a blender was a difficult decision - and we have never regretted it! It has handled any job we’ve thrown at it with ease, cleans up easily, and simply has no comparable. This is absolutely worth the extra money over what the “typical” cost of a blender in most stores would be.

When my cheap smoothie blender died, I spent quite a bit of time researching the blender market. The 6 blade design on this blender is so much more efficient than the standard 4 blade. Yes, this was a very expensive blender, but it is extremely well engineered. You don't need to poke your ingredients into the center like other blenders due to the hemisphere base design. The jar is heavy, but it will last forever barring a sudden drop. I really like the smooth touchpad. I know gunk won't build up between the buttons. Cleaning is a breeze. It puts my ancient Waring bar blender to shame.
