This is a great attachment for the KitchenAid mixer. I have a Victorio Strainer (30 + years old) and it can be a hassle This is so much easier. Just set the mixer on (4) and go The only reason it did NOT get 5 stars was because of the size of the hopper. You can only process (1) cup of produce at a feeding. KitchenAid sells an extra large hopper/tray, but you have to buy that separately, and it's not exactly cheap. I suppose that they're like all the big companies. They make their money off accessories. As far as Chefs is concerned, I couldn't have picked a better company. The service was great and the shipping, fast.
Pros: Easy to Clean/Wash, quality, easy to use, construction, Appearance/ Design /Style, Performs Well, easy to store
Cons: capacity of hopper/tray, need to buy the food grinder attachment first

I used this to puree loads and loads of Roma tomatoes from our garden. It pureed the tomatoes beautifully while separating out the seeds and skins -- all with NO PRECOOKING NECESSARY. I borrowed this attachment from my next door neighbor. Now I'm going to buy it.
Just a precaution, though: Use the plastic pouring shield that comes with the mixer to avoid splashing tomato blobs all over the place.

Review 3 for KitchenAid Fruit and Vegetable Strainer Attachment
I've only ever used this KitchenAid attachment for making applesauce, but it does an incredible job. I wash and cut the apples into quarters and cook them down. No peeling, no coring - simply slice them into quarters -- the attachment does the rest! I'm truly amazed every time!
Scoop the cooked apples (cores, stem, seeds and all) into the hopper and use the pusher to feed the apples through the strainer. The attachment strains the apple from the waste (which is surprisingly minimal) and makes the *most* beautiful applesauce.
This is best as a two-person project with one person scooping into the loading tray and the other pushing the fruit down into the strainer. We have found that the standard loading tray is a bit small once you get rolling, but KitchenAid does have a larger tray attachment which we have recently purchased.
Pros: Easy to Clean/Wash, easy to use, Functional/Useful, Performs Well
