"I received this hand-held blender as a gift, and it has proved itself very useful many times. I take it to the stove and make gravies instantly smooth, and puree soups just to the consistency that I prefer. No more pouring hot liquids into a blender (ouch!). It is also great for smoothies and making hot chocolate nice and frothy like Starbucks. I keep mine close at hand."

"Very easy to use, works well with uncooked carrots, celery, & frozen fruit slices/chunks. Quiet. Has a clean look & easy connection between handle & blending shaft. I just wish the connecting part that locks the blending shaft & handle were made of stainless steel. Also wish the mixing/measuring cup is bigger & made of material that does not easily tip over like a thicker glass. Otherwise, it's an efficient & well designed blender."

"So many kitchen items are just so much fluff, taking up valuable real estate in your cabinet. Not so, this handblender. Use it to puree stubborn cream soup, to blend chocolate shakes, to whip scrambled eggs, etc. It is the perfect kitchen tool! We keep ours plugged in and in a permanent location on our countertop."

"I had one of these and somehow lost it -I think it was borrowed and never returned- so luckily I received another one for Christmas. I didnt know how much I missed this until it was gone. I use this hand blender at least every other day. It is easy, small, and convenient PLUS it gets the job done in seconds. There is no need to bring out any other mixer for small jobs when you have this available. LOVE IT!"

"I took a pasta sauce class from a world-class Italian chef and he recommended this stick blender. He said he uses it to get the correct consistency for tomato sauce--he just puts the stick directly in the can of tomatoes and poof . . . done. He's right! It's the perfect tool and it's so easy to clean up. It's great for pureeing vegetables in soup as well. I don't think I'll ever need my big food processor again."

"I purchased this as a gift for my aunt, because I love mine so much. It is the ultimate convenience tool for the kitchen! My favorite application is making stovetop purees for soups and gravies. There's no need to pour hot liquids into the blender and deal with all the splatter, not to mention extra dishes to wash. "This is the perfect tool when you have a small job, such as making whipped cream for your coffee. I also use it froth my hot drinks and to break down chunks of food in some of my soups. My only complaint would be that if you use it too long, it can get hot (not too hot to handle, but too warm to put in my whipped cream). If I am making a larger batch of whipped cream, I might unplug it and let it cool for a few minutes or even immerse it in cold water. It is easy to clean and I reach for mine often."

"An immersion blender is a great thing to have and this one works wonderfully. Using it instead of a food mill for Butternut Squash Soup (a big batch) shaved about thirty minutes off and the result was very smooth and creamy."

"I recieved this as a gift and thought it might be useful once in a while. I was so wrong. I use it all the time! Yes, it is great for blending soups very smooth, but I use it for drinks, soups or anything that needs blending. I love to use it to scramble eggs for creamy and yet fluffy breakfast meals.
