Cuisinart Chef's Pan

I have this pan and have been enjoying it for years. Great for a small vegetable stir-fry, sautéing vegetables to include in another dish, preparing sauce for ravioli. It gets used in my kitchen multiple times each week. Because this is not the kind of pan usually included in a set, it makes a great wedding or house-warming gift. I've given away at least eight of them, maybe more. When the last one leaves the house, I order a couple more to have on hand. Highly recommend.

Was also interested in a saucier, and this one fits the bill. Love the shape, ease in whisking/cleaning. While some reports show it is lightweight, the encapsulated bottom works perfectly for my glass top and I appreciate having a marginally lighter pan when making gravies/sauces.

I love the thick bottom of the pan for the even heat and the nice rounded upsweep to the sides. The whisk works great in this pan, and it's nice and deep.

Adequate

This pan is generally adequate but is thinner and lighter than I'd hoped. You need lots of oil or liquid to keep food from sticking at higher heat. Since I bought it on sale it's worth the price but it's not a real chefs pan.
Pros: Appearance/ Design /Style, capacity
Cons: Hotspots, Uneven cooking, too thin and light

This pan is big enough to boil an ear of corn, make rice, or fix taco meat. The lid is handy too. It was bigger than I expected but I'm glad I bought it. I use it almost every day. It is easy to clean and looks nice.
