"I received this blender as a gift. While it wasn't my first choice, I have come to appreciate one of its benefits. This blender will break up all the ice cubes in a beverage (margarita, smoothie, etc.) providing the jar is full. It will not process ice cubes in liquid if the jar is only 1/2 full, however. In this situation, chunks of ice will remain.
The display is very easy to clean. One wipe does it.
The pouring spout needs major improvement. Do not attempt to pour into glasses directly from this blender as liquid will run down the side of the jar. To make matters worse, the liquid that spills down the side while pouring is caught in the plastic cuff that surrounds the blade mechanism. On the second and subsequent pours, liquid comes from inside the jar and from the bottom cuff creating a double pour. Solution? Pour all liquid from the blender jar into another container in one pour.
Lastly, the "gear" on the base that engages with the blade mechanism is made of plastic. After 8 years of use, this plastic piece broke during use, rendering the blender useless. You decide whether 8 years is long-lasting or not."

"This blender is an easy, efficient tool for typical kitchen duties - including smoothies, milkshakes, purees, sauces and soups. It's easy to clean and has reasonable volume capacity. The speed settings aren't very sophisticated, but the motor really is powerful enough for most tasks."
