Never expected this blade to be as "razor-sharp" as their description, but it's that and a lot more. It's a conversational piece when you bring out to finish a meal. Planning to order more for wedding gifts.

I can't believe I waited so long to get one of these. Although pricey, it's well worth the investment. The quality of the chop is something I've never been able to achieve with a traditional knife and board. The blade is incredibly sharp, needs careful handling. A tip: the bowl-board will benefit from a good, natural wood moisturizer-sealer to help keep chlorophyl from penetrating into the grain--treating the board makes cleanup an easy rinse and wipe. This is a WONDERFUL tool.

I was weary of spending this much money, but I am very glad I did. The blade is heavy and very sharp. The board is very thick, heavy, and stable. I just wipe it clean after use. It minces fresh herbs without crushing them. I highly recommend this item for cooks who like fresh herbs!

For any truly passionate cook out there: this is one item worth EVERY penny. I own every single herb mincing gadged out there, none of which work. Until now! The Shun Mezzaluna is absolutely superb: the blade is heavy and rests beautifully in the hand, it is razor sharp, and therefore truly minces the herb, instead of crushing it, like most gadgets do. The bamboo bowl is heavy, sturdy and doesn't budge, while you cut. I have finally found my ideal tool!
