DisappointingOctober 30, 2009 dsdmdfrom VB, VA
Cons: Unbalanced, Uncomfortable
"I was very disappointed in this product. I think the concept is great but the execution leaves much to be desired. The blades are heavy so the balance is way off. In addition the handles do not have a good fit, making these uncomfortable to use. They feel the same as if I were putting my fingers in kindergarten scissors. I would never have bought this product if I had been in a store where I could actually pick them up and try the feel."

Herb Snips - definitely a keeper!January 9, 2009 Barblcufrom Clarksville, Tn
Pros: well made and easy to use., does not crush the herbs., less mess with easy clean-up., a great time saver! Cons: none
"I just recently started cooking with fresh herbs but found it time-consuming and messy using a knife to chop the herbs. I was browsing the Chef's catalog I had just received and noticed the Herb Snips. After reading about them, I decided to give them a try and found them to be a great time saver with little mess. They are easy and fun to use and quickly snips the herbs without crushing them. They are well made and comfortable to use. Clean-up is easy...just put them in the dishwasher. I highly recommend this item to anyone who uses fresh herbs in their cooking. Not only do fresh herbs improve the taste of the food being prepared, there is now a way to quickly and easily chop and prepare them with the Herb Snips! This item is definitely a keeper!"

Well designed, Fun to Use Gadget!January 8, 2009 VintageBellefrom San Francisco Bay Area
Pros: time saver, easy clean up, easy and fun to use gadget
"I love these snips! They save so much time and work exactly as intended. I cut through bunches of herbs for brining with ease, and used them again for garnishing food. They are well constructed and easy to rinse off. Given the nature of the item, I would not use them for anything other than herbs or soft leafy vegetables so as not to dull or warp the blades. But for herbs they are a huge time saver. They received a lot of positive comments during a cocktail party, when I left them out on my kitchen counter; people liked to look at and touch them! I also gave them as stocking stuffers at Christmas, and everyone loved them. While they are a fun chef's "toy", there is nothing toy like about them, and I wouldn't recommend this item for kids to use in the kitchen because of the multiple sharp blades and snipping action. They are an unbelievable deal for $12.99, and look and function like they should cost more."

TIMESAVER!! Scissor away the stress of the day!January 8, 2009 Harriedgreenmomfrom Central Texas
Pros: very sharp, stores on a wall-mounted magnetic knife, shreds junk mail!
"I LOVE these! I'm a chef at heart but with busy kids' schedules I have to find new ways to cook fresh and organic. These save the day! Throw all my salad greens, quarter a tomato, cuke, bell pepper in a bowl and scissor away the stress of my day. If I didn't have them a salad probably wouldn't be served.
Also works well and very quickly on fresh herbs: again, fresh in my quick recipes.
Order an extra to quickly shred junk mail/ security sensitive personal papers, just keep in your desk."

Multi-purpose Time SaverDecember 24, 2008 herbxprtfrom Texas
Pros: quality product, fast and easy Cons: none
"I purchased these because they were on sale. I ordered one for me and another for my mom. But, honestly, I was a little skeptical about how well they would work. I make a lot of soups and dishes using cups of chopped herbs at a time and I needed something to make the chore of chopping all of those herbs easier and faster. Well, I found it. These herb snips work better than I could have ever imagined. I pick the herbs, wash them, and place them in a small metal mixing bowl. Then, I keep cutting through them until they are cut as fine as I want. Wow! What a difference from the old messy way with a knife and cutting board. I even use these to shred spinach and greens. It works great on them too. Besides being easy and quick to use, they are easy and quick to clean too. I would recommend these to anyone because they are a quality product and a timesaver."

An Excellent TimesaverNovember 20, 2008 Cookiefrom Los Angeles, CA
"These are just great. Saves a bunch of time and extra cleaning of knives and cutting boards. Nice clean cuts - no bruising of the greens. I use for basil - forget the chiffonade cuts - parsley, basil, dill - any herbs. Highly recommended"

Get These Now!November 17, 2008 xscarybfrom North Hollywood, Ca
"I also use cilantro and parsley almost on a daily basis. I have tried a cutting board, and a mezzaluna , both results were messy and hard to clean up after. These snips are easy to use, and easy to clean. After rinsing, you can dry them by 'snipping' a paper napkin, and for a 'protective storage sleeve' , cut two cardboard pieces to fit the blades, then staple the outside edges.."

Fabulous Time Saving Herb SnipsNovember 6, 2008 tnixfrom Eufaula, AL
"I bought these specifically for chopping cilantro. I use cilantro to garnish soup and other dishes. I hate to get the cutting board out, and when I do the cilantro sticks to the board, smears all over everything, and sticks to the knife as well as my fingers. I have bought numerous chopping devices for herbs before, but never one as wonderful as these. Just snip, snip, and you're done! A quick rinse under the faucet, and they're clean. No green stains smeared all over everything, and no bruising of the leaves. I too wish they had a cover for the drawer, and it's a little hard to dry them after washing, but it's a small price to pay for such a wonderful tool. I'm sure they work equally well for all other herbs as well."

Not just for herbsOctober 20, 2008 armysapperfrom College Grove, TN
"When I purchased these, I specifically had chives in mind because it seems to take so long to chop chives; however, I've found that these work great for chopping lettuce & other greens. Rather than chopping, I cut my lettuce for toppings. I also cut a variety of greens to use in "spinach" dip. They work great & save me alot of time! I only wish that they came with a protective storage sleeve."
