I had admired a pot similar that a friend had. I saw this in the catalogue and ordere it. I am so pleased with the speed I get hot, hot water and also the ease of cleaning. The glass electric kettle is a great addition to my home.

This kettle is simply terrific!!! It boils the water very fast and gets really hot, which makes great tea because it pulls out the flavor from your tea bags with full bodied strength. I purchased ( 4 ) and my sister purchased ( 3 ) because we knew that they were great for christmas gifts. My sister and I already had our kettles so we wanted others to enjoy the experience also. I would recommend this water kettle in a heart beat. It is great for different things , like instant hot cereal and instant mashed potatoes, and etc. Well I guess that you got the message ''LOL'', it's great!!! I can't find anything negative to say about it and it looks good too!!!

This is the best electric kettle I have ever owned. The water boils very fast and with the glass you can see right when it starts to boil. It has an automatic shut off but I generally tun it off right when it starts to boil. I could never do that with my previous three electric kettles. The Capresso Glass Electric Kettle is the only kettle I will ever use and the only kettle I would give as a gift.

The chrome on this product is plastic. I was looking for a non-plastic appliance/electric teapot which I found in the Chef's Choice model 685.
I returned this pot FedEx and await credit. I applaud Chefs Catalogue for its no-charge return. Thank you!

Looks pretty, but very disappointed. Boils up with a "plasticky" taste to the water...yuck!

We purchased this model from Chef for two reasons the look and color and for it's sheik design. We also needed black for our new kitchen. However after we purchased the item it works so well we were sorry that we hadn't ordered it a long time ago. It heats fast and it's size is just what we needed for us. Well worth the money.

We needed a new electric kettle as our many years old Bodum died. Originally wanted the same one, which of course they don't make anymore. I thought this one sounded like a good choice, and it was.
It brings the water to a boil very fast. Love the glass carafe, and the whole design of it looks great with all of our other countertop appliances.
Would recommend this to anyone.

Nice looking, very fast. Shuts off too quickly if you want boiling water for tea & requires a short wait to come back on to bring back to boiling -- a minor inconvenience. More important, however, is that it either should turn off automatically when below minimum water line and/or the blue light indicator that it is on should be more apparent. I already washed out the pot & placed it back on the element without realizing that I had inadvertently turned it on, and didn't discover it until the next morning.

Just got this electric kettle a few days ago. I love how quickly the water comes to a boil, much quicker than it would have if I had boiled water in a pan on the stove. I'm sure I will be enjoying the kettle for years to come.

This teakettle heats water efficiently and quickly. It stays put on the countertop. The electric cord can be very neatly wrapped around the base as needed. It is exceptionally beautiful to look at--great design down to the lovely shape of the glass, the curved handle, the chrome accents, the black contrast. This is without doubt the most beautiful teakettle out there--and I've looked at lots of them. I love it!

I have wanted an electric kettle for a while. So read all the reviews and this one sounded good. I really like it. I no longer have to shuffle a kettle around the burners and it works fast and looks nice. Even doubtful hubby has been converted.

For years our family used everything from a gas range to a microwave oven to heat water for tea and other hot beverages. There had to be something better. I found it to be the Capresso Glass Electric Kettle. After reading the reviews of this product, I purchased the Kettle as a house warming gift for my wife. She loves it. It looks elegant on the table and takes up very little counter space. It performs wonderfully and is easy to maintain. I heartily recommend this product.

I love this beautiful addition to my kitchen! I am an avid tea drinker and therefore I like to be able to stop the water before a full boil so I don't scorch some of my teas. This is the perfect pot!

I have had an electic tea kettle for years. Each time I used it I had to turn up the radio because of the noise. This electriic kettle is very quiet and much faster than my old one like the ones I have experienced in Europe. Also, because it is glass I will be able to clean it very easily instead of boiling vinegar and water in the old plastic one.

After spending our vacation in Ireland, and using tea kettles in our rooms, I decided to purchase one on our return home. I reviewed several on the net, and eventually decided that the Capresso Electric Kettle was the one I wanted. We've been using this for over a month now. The body is glass so it looks beautiful and can be easily cleaned inside, the opening is large enouth to get a hand in, and the lid fits snugly so no mishaps. We use hot water for several different recepies and this is so fast it takes only moments to come to a complete boil. I love the auto "off" feature, as well as the hidden cord. These great features make this worth every penny, as I see using this for years to come.
