"I've been looking for an open oval baking dish and was delighted to find this one by Royal Doulton. It is very attractive and the ridged pattern around the outside helps with handling it. It's sturdy, too. I used it to make a pie, then freezed it before baking and later put it in the oven directly from the freezer. No problem - the pie was lovely! Obviously due to my stellar baking talents, but the dish was a major hit, too! Actually, I would like to get another in a 2-quart size if they had one. Chef's, are you listening??!

If you are looking for a 1-quart open baking dish I definitely recommend this one."
