LOVE IT!!! December 6, 2007
147cook from Virginia

"This is a wonderful Pitcher. It has a strong handle that is very easy to grip. The lid has an excellent seal. As the directions state, turn the dial on the lid and it vacuum seals the lid. I love that there is no plastic taste added to my milk or freshly made vegetable and fruit juices.
I love them so much, I bought one more of this size and two of the smaller sizes.

My Favorite Pitcher October 30, 2009
Anonymous from Mexico, MO

Pros: Appearance/ Design /Style, Arrived in good condition, capacity, construction, durability, Easy to Clean/Wash, easy to store, Functional/Useful, generous size, Long-lasting, Well Made/ Sturdy

"This pitcher has a sturdy handle which makes holding it so easy - it does not slip out of your hands when wet. The seal is wonderful and easy to twist the lid to tighten it. I like the cube shape - it fits in your refrigerator nicely. The top opening is wide enough for your hand to easily get in and clean the container. Easily my favorite pitcher!"

glass is always great! October 30, 2009
motabation from WV

Pros: Appearance/ Design /Style, Arrived in good condition, capacity, construction, Dishwasher-safe, Dries Quickly, durability, Easy to Clean/Wash, easy to store, Value for Money
Cons: Difficult to use, Performance, Support/instructions

"I love that it's square. Makes it much EZier 2 fit in many places. And the lid is a great idea too! However, the handle is too close the pitcher to get a good grip and the lid doesn't function with the greatest of ease. The spout causes more spillage if you aren't very careful how you angle the pitcher when pourting. So, it's got some pros and cons."

Best ever pitchers July 31, 2009
blessedtazz from San Bernardino, CA

Pros: Appearance/ Design /Style, capacity

"Bought the 36 & 68 oz. pitchers. I thought that they couldn"t possibly hold the amount they claimed. Well I was wrong. Better then any plastic type pitchers I've ever had with handles and no unpleasant odor over time. Wouldn't recommend for younger children, not just because they are glass, but pretty heavy, too. Great airtight lids. Love them!"

Efficient Glass Storage February 5, 2009
happycooking from Maryland

"After enjoying using lightweight polycarbonate containers, I'm reverting to other choices for food storage with the current information about BPA. This is an efficiently designed 36 ounce pitcher. The shape is space saving. The handle is easy to grip. The twist seal lid keeps contents fresh. And no concerns about "tried and true" glass storage of acidic liquids, such as lemonade, OJ, or tomato juice that may be held for days."

Excellent Glass Pitcher January 30, 2009
CAlarcon from Washington, DC

Pros: strong easy to grip handle, airtight vacuum seal

"This is an excellent pitcher. As one reviewer stated, the handle is strong and very easy to grip, and the seal on the lid is airtight. I have started replacing all of our plastic storage containers with glass containers, because of the new research proving contaminants leaking into food and drinks because of the plastic used. These Frigoverre glass pitchers, including the large 68 oz. size, fit nicely on the door of my smallest fridge, which is the size of a "dorm" fridge. When I first purchased them, I only ordered one each of the 36 and 68 oz sizes. I used them and loved them so much that I bought another 68 oz pitcher! I also like the fact that you *can* take apart the lid pieces and wash them separately so that no liquid residue builds up on it creating mold or unpleasant odor."

Lid shipped in pieces with no hints on assembly September 29, 2008
TwoCoasts from New Paltz, NY

"This pitcher was delivered with the parts of the lid buried loose and separately in the styrofoam peanuts of the delivery box. But the quite rudimentary instructions make no mention of how to assemble the lid. "No problem," I figured, "it's pretty obvious how these two pieces go together." But when I put the two pieces of the lid together, despite a fair bit of fiddling I couldn't make it seal the pitcher nor even see how it could possibly seal. Turns out--and I only discovered this thanks to some online research and a helpful review on another site--I needed to root around some more in the styrofoam peanuts to find a rubber ring that was supposed to be part of the lid assembly. With it, the lid seals well. But really, should the customer have to spend his/her time sifting through all the loose packing material, gathering parts, and doing internet research to figure out how to close a pitcher??"

68 oz Frigoverre Glass Pitcher September 22, 2008
Cardsfan from Auburn, CA

"Pitcher is well made & exactly what we wanted for our morning juice. Lid stays on well & is easy to use. Our only complaint is that the space between the handle & container is very tight. I can hold it comfortably, but for larger hands, it's a little ackward. That would be something the manufacturer could fix & make lots of folks happier."

Good BUT June 2, 2008
foodbanker from Arizona

"Glass is so efficient in keeping things cool. My only reservation is the space between the handle and the body of the pitcher. I have 3 of these - the handle on two are bent in towards the body of the pitcher so it is very difficult to get your fingers through, to get a good grip. One pitcher is perfect, the handle is parallel as it shows in the picture. The Italian vendor needs paid more attention to manufacturing details."

Just What We Were Looking For! June 2, 2008
claireadelle from Hillsboro, KS

"These pitchers are very nice. We ordered 2 of them a month or so ago after seeing them on other websites. There were a lot of complaints about the lid on the other sites and when we went to order them they were no longer for sale on those sites. Then we found this website. The price was better than the other sites and they got to us FAST (very impressive).

I just don't get the complaints about the lid! It is very simple and easy to figure out. You just put it on and turn the inner part. It does take 2 hands as you have to hold the outter edge while turning the inner piece (you will see what I mean when you get your pitcher).

The only bad thing is that it seals sooo tight that it is hard to open sometimes...but then you want a tight seal.

These pitchers were exactly what we were looking for for storing raw milk.

Fantastic! April 12, 2008
Cookie17 from North Dakota

"It keeps my iced tea fresh in the fridge for days. It doesn't stain like plastic pitchers do and it fits in the door of my fridge so it doesn't take up valuable shelf space. It's a great value for the price."

Just What I Needed! March 31, 2008
Sharron from Milwaukee, WI

"My plastic pitchers were starting to smell from orange juice gone bad. I decided it was time for a healthier option -glass. These are just the right size for mixing up 2 quart drink quantities, and they do seal very well, once you get used to the two-handed operation. I bought 3 of them, and I keep one filled with water each morning so I know I'm getting my 8 glasses a day. They also pack very efficiently in my small (counter-depth) refrigerator. I was able to put all my tall stuff in the door, and re-configure my shelves to hold my milk gallons and these pitchers. I feel I have more room for other things."

"A little more handle room please" March 14, 2008
CURIOUSJIM from TAMPA, FL

"The pitcher is well done and a great idea. The cooling design functioned just as it was advertised.
There are some features that need modifications and then it would be a five star item.
The pitcher is heavy empty and needs an ample handle. The handle provided only allows a two or three finger placement ( my hand is a medium). When filled it is heavier and you have to support the pitcher with one hand and hold the front to make a clean pour. I have two other pitchers with this type of handle, avoid this style of handle unless it has more room at the middle and lower portion of the handle.
The rating would have been two stars except that it does cool the drinks to a pleasant temperature without dilution.

Excellent Product January 22, 2008
Virginia from USA

"I have several Frigoverre pitchers and love all of them. I mostly use them to hold my homemade soymilk and the hermetically sealed lid makes a big difference in freshness. The lid is easy to use, even with arthritis. The only thing I would change is the distance between the handle and the pitcher. The handle is close to the pitcher so your fingers rest against the body when you hold it which is a problem if the liquid is hot. You may want to wear an oven mitt or use a pot holder in this situation. The product comes in three different sizes: .5L (17 oz), 1.2L (40 oz) and 2.3L (78 oz). I highly recommend any of them."
