I had used the chef knife at a friend's house and was sold on it before I bought it. It has great balance and is a joy to use. The little paring knife has quickly become my go-to knife for all small jobs - just the right size, strong and sharp.
In the kitchen, I'm never without: my apron

Great knife. Feels and cuts great as you chop and prepare your vegetables, herbs and meat. The handle feels great and you can feel how sturdy and well constructed the knife is as you cut.

This product was a gift for my Mother who cooks frequently and she absolutely loves it. Easy to use, easy to clean and fits her hand really well. I would recommend it.

The price was very reasonable for the quality of the product. The chef's knife was perfect. The paring knife could been a little bit wider for control with my thumb while peeling an apple.

My boyfriend bought me this set two years ago and we still use these knives every day!
I highly recommend this set for anyone who needs a basic knife set. This set will work well for anyone from the novice, expert, or even the beginner.
I have much smaller hands than my boyfriend however we find the hilt and weight of these knives to work perfectly for both of our hands.
One really can't go wrong with this set if just a couple basic knives are needed.

Anyone who knows knives will acknowledge that Wusthof knives are among the very best. My husband is an Exec. Chef and needed a new set of knives because his old Wusthofs were ground down and would no longer hold an edge. We shopped all over the Internet and found this site with a comparable price and FREE SHIPPING for this 2-piece set. He has to use the Grand Prix II because of HASSP regulations (no wood handles). The order was processed and shipped just as described, arrived promptly, and we are very satisfied. Will shop again from Chefs Catalog.
