Le Creuset Basting Brush : Toss out those
warped and stained utensils. This fine grade silicone
basting brush keeps its shape and color use after use.
The thick bristles resist stains and do not absorb food
flavors or stains. The bristles are heat resistant to
800 F and will not fall out. Use this colorful brush to
baste meats, slather on barbeque sauce or top breads
with melted butter. Bristle head detaches for easy
cleaning by hand in soapy water or in the dishwasher.

I received this brush in a gift basket full of kitchen utensils and a nice Calaphon pan. I have no idea where the giver got it or the price but I do like it alot!
This cleans up better than my old basting brush. I have used it on the BBQ and though I am careful not to get it too close to the hot grates, it hasn't melted. I like this and would recommend it. I have the blue one!

used for basting barbucue ribs. my spouse loves it. holds basting fluid better and cover meat evenly

So far, so good. My bbq gets up to 700 deg. Didn't melt like other silicone brushes I had used. Wish it had a longer larger handle to help hands stay clear of the heat, but it works OK.

This basting brush may be a simple tool but it is definitely one of the best modern updates to the bristled brush. The liquid clings enough to reduce messy drips and distributes an even coat with ease. This is a must have item if you haven't replaced your old bristled baster yet!

I use this baster alot, It is very easy to use to bast with B-b-q sauce and the clean-up is so easy, the only way to make it better would be to double the width(for B-b-qing).
