the bowls are big enough to hold plenty of spices and liquids used in cooking. the material prevents the bowls from sliding off the counter or table when bumped. i have used the bowls to pour or sprinkle spices into jars and or straight onto meat when grilling.

I had been looking at the usual glass prep bowls when I found these. These are the nicest bowls. Their size makes them very versatile. Love the colors too. These bowls would make a nice stocking stuffer for any cook!

Works great for pre-assembling recipe ingredients, even wet ones. A silicon spatula gets every drop out and into the pot, and you can squeeze them to help. Very fun styling also, they look like they have a sense of humor as they sit on your counter.

Little bowls do a big job

These 2 oz. prep bowls are a great little addition to any kitchen. Because they are silicone there is no worry about breakage and they pour perfectly when you give them a pinch. The set includes 4 different colors and they wash up easily. You say you don't bake? These also work perfectly for individual servings of dips or spreads or even seasoned olive oil. They are versatile, take up very little space in the cupboard, and once you have them you will wonder why you didn't buy them sooner.

This product was just what you described, but no where did you state the size of the 4 bowls of differing colors that I ordered. I thought, by the picture, they would be bigger, When they arrived I was startled that they were all only 1/4 cup bowls. But, they are really cute little bowls.

This is the second set of pinch bowls that I have purchased. This set is for a friend who has only been housekeeping for a few years and is accumulating needed kitchen items. I liked my versatile pinch bowls so much, I bought a set for her. I use them for prepping recipes all the time.

Had higher expectations

These are a great idea, but they just don't work as well as I thought they would. When I cook, I prep everything out beforehand, and I thought these would be useful for the tablespoon of oil here, the teaspoon of spice there, and although they are the right size and the bendable nature is useful, they are too light. I know it probably isn't possible to have a flexible, silicone pinch bowl that ISN'T going to tip over, but it certainly frustrated me everytime I would brush one just hard enough to knock out the contents. I got tired of cleaning up oil spills, so I just use them for dry items now and keep them far away from where I work (and since I like to line things up in the order I use them, this becomes bothersome- searching for which bowl has what in it).
Pros: Easy to Clean/Wash, Appearance/ Design /Style, easy to store, durability, Functional/Useful, capacity
Cons: prone to tipping

Le Creuset Silicone cookware: The Best!

When you have Le Creuset Silicone pinch bowls, you can forget looking through drawers and cabinets for funnels...put the ingredients in the bowl...pinch two sides together...and voila...no need to look for that (for me), always missing funnel. I love these tools, and use them all the time....
Pros: Easy to Clean/Wash, Value for Money, Material, easy to use, multi-purpose, Appearance/ Design /Style, Performs Well, easy to store, durability, Functional/Useful
Cons: Capacity, wish these were available in larger sizes

When I saw these bowls recommended in the American Profile magazine, I thought they were larger than they actually are. I was hoping I could use them more for baking, but they are designed for cooking and while that is a slight difference, I bake more than I cook.

Prep made easy

As the owner of a bed and breakfast, I am always looking for items that make my food prep easier. At last I have the perfect solution to the problem of which guest wants which ingredients in his omelette or her pancakes. I match each guest with a colored bowl making it easy for me to combine and identify the indivualized ingredients for the guest. As an added bonus, the silicon bowls are much easier and safer to handle with wet hands than my small glass prep bowls.

I was very disappointed. Had I known the "bowls" would be so tiny, I never would've ordered. They appeared ~ 1 cup size in the ad, and in my mind. Now I have 2 sets (8) tiny bowls, and have no idea how to use them. I'm not a pro chef, so I don't 'stage' my ingredients. Salt servers? Not for the home cook............please!!! :('
Cons: Capacity, size, not a necessity for an everyday kitchen/cook
