This machine does everything they said it does and more! Chefs delivered it promptly in perfect condition and had an extremely low overnight delivery fee!! I love the Vitamix and will buy from Chefs again!!

Awesome! I'm using my Vita-Mix to make protein & fruit smoothies for breakfast and super green drinks for lunch (using raw greens and veggies). This baby pulverizes everything in a few seconds! I am using my Vita-Mix everyday. ♥

I have used many blenders over the years, but this one amazes me. In moments it turns ice, fruit, honey and milk into a smoothy and seems to have no end of power. Never would I have thought that I could "cook" a hot soup by friction. It is easy to clean, versatile, and I love the video that comes with it.

This blender is the last you'll ever buy. It is high quality and lasts––with zero problems. The smoothies are absolutely smooth with no chunky bits as other blenders tend to leave. It really does crush ice effectively and makes ice cream in seconds from frozen fruit and cream. My guests can't believe I pull off such amazing concoctions so quickly. I also love that you don't have to take it apart to clean it.
The best feature of this model as opposed to some others is the knob in the middle that lets you adjust the speed on the fly by tiny increments until you have exactly the result you desire. This is especially useful when working with hot liquids that are likely to 'explode' a bit when blended on high too suddenly. You can start on low and dial up faster, then switch to the high setting if you need to.
There's a reason professional chefs use this blender. It's fool proof, efficient and completely reliable. I used it for baby food when that was needed, I make my own hummus, great soups and a million other things. No other blender can compare.
Pros: easy clean up, problem free, can handle just about anything, infinite speed settings

I hesitated for months on getting a Vitamix, because of the hefty price, but this baby is worth EVERY PENNY! Smoothies, soups, sauces... it's fabulous! Even my honey, who doesn't like many vegetables, but "tries to eat more veggies," says this is perfect for him. They're all blended smoothly into a delicious soup (and the Vitamix even HEATS your mixture when blended for just 2-3 minutes). It's an amazing machine... EVERY household should have one, so everyone could eat a more healthy, nutritious diet.
In the kitchen, I'm never without: Pampered Chef Food Chopper & Manual Food Processor, and baking stones!
Favorite Brand: The Pampered Chef

It's extremely powerful and will liquefy whole fruits and veggies. I am getting all the fiber I was throwing out when I was juicing. It's fun making quick desserts and hot soups with it. And it does a great job at all the stuff a regular blender would do.

I ordered the vitamix based on it's great reputation. I was skeptical but now that I have seen it in action I'm impressed. It blends like no other blender I have ever owned. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good quality blender.

I was a little concerned after reading various reviews on different websites about the vitamix and other whole food blenders, but I finally made the purchase of this product, and so far I'm really glad I did!
Just used it for the first time and I'm very pleased. Other reviewers had said the noise was really bad, but I did not find it offensive at all. Although I did look at the cookbook, my goal is to create smoothies that are high in nutrition, without adding sugared products. So I created my own recipe for the first try, based on a friend's comment that she liked apples and carrots together.
1 cut up apple - hand full of baby precut carrots-1/2 cup apple cider-1/2 cup water- about 10 ice cubes. Processed on the variable level, cranking it all the way up for a minute or two until it was a consistency I liked. You'll have to experiment to see what you enjoy.
As for cleaning the blender by filling with soapy water and running it: I did do this as recommended before using. However after making the smoothie, I ran it with soapy water again and I found that I still had to wash the spout and the edges of the cover where the churning water would not reach. It's easier to just give it a quick wash by hand.
One complaint some people had was that it was too tall to fit under their cabinet. Seriously, take the blender jar off, store it in the pantry closet, and just keep the base on the countertop. Or keep the base and jar next to each other on the counter and pull them forward to use. Problem solved.
As I said, I've only used it once, but so far I love it. Planning on using it every day, and will try some of the recipes in the book as well. I know it's pricey, but I think it's going to be a great addition to our health and cooking fun. Enjoy everyone!

I've wanted a Vitamix blender for 10 years since I saw it used at a cooking school. I LOVE THIS appliance. It does so much more than a blender. My first sauce (apricot coulis) was silker and smoother than any blender in the past. Smoothies are amazing. I even made ice cream! It may be a pricey "blender", but it's so worth it.
Fortunately, I have a bank of cabinets that are installed at a higher level than standard otherwise it would not have fit under on the counter under the cabinets. I believe the smaller container would solve it if you find you have that issue.

I believe strongly in investing in quality, when possible. Getting started in my home kitchen 35 years ago, I did not have the luxury of selecting high end, serious equipment very often. But over the years, I have invested in excellent knives, mixers, cookware and now the Vita Mix. My last Kitchenaid blender lasted 7 years, but i swore when it finally broke, I would add the Vita Mix, and I am glad I did.
It is not the quietest piece of equipment, but that just is not a factor when you consider what a work horse it is I have an appropriate location to manage its height, and it is used every day, at least once, sometimes multiple times. It is so much more than a blender, that I am certain I will find more uses than I ever would have considered a traditional blender for. A great addition to my kitchen!.

I have only had this machine for less than two weeks. It more than exceeds its reputation! I couldn't be happier! Everyone in our family uses it. It is sooooooooo easy to clean. It is amazing to see what it is able to do......and so quickly!

Vita-mix is absolutely awesome....I have tried to improve my health with green smoothies and this is the ONLY machine that makes it perfect consistency. It is worth every penny and CHEFS delivered it fast and in great shape with 2 boxes. I am so very pleased with this order!!!!! I would recommend it to anyone!

my wife had one of these rascals before we got together - the recipe book that comes with it is 1st rate - i couldn't believe it when it actually made hot soup - & it was hot! now i have a smoothie for breakfast[they are good for you] & this contraption has it's own cleaning cycle too. it's a bit of money but i'm glad we have one.

This machine is NOT a blender, it is a Vita-Mix. There are several features about this machine that are truly great. The fact that the blades are fixed means no more bottom leaks. It has it's own plunger which you can leave in and use while it's running. You can advance the speed smoothly, it's quiet and heavy enough to keep it still on the counter. The cover is simple to use. The container is not breakable glass. I just can't say enough about the way it operates and you can even make a HEATED soup in this machine. Also, you don't have to worry about overheating the motor, which is so powerful you can mix dough in it or chop cheese. Try that with your ElCheapo blender from the discount store. This Vita-Mix is several machines in one and well worth every penny. It's got a permanent place on my counter as I use it daily from the breakfast smoothie to a hot soup for lunch and it will even grate your Parmesan cheese for that dinner spaghetti. Thank you Vita-Mix and Chef's, for bringing us this great machine.

We have only had this product for a short time but like it VERY much. Compared to our previous blender, Vita-Mix is a lot more efficient, makes smoother smoothies, pours without spilling, and cleans easily. It's not any noisier than other blenders we have had, and since it only takes a short time to do its work, the noise is not an issue. We figured, this blender will pay itself in a few months just because the orange pulp adds to the volume and still the smoothie comes out smooth. Vita-Mix is everything I envisioned it to be, and I look forward to trying the various functions it offers. Can't wait to have home-made ice cream :-)

I have several different brand named blenders over the years, and the Vita-Mix is by far the best one that I have ever used. My last blender was a commercial grade, and I thought it was good until I used the Vita Mix. It pulverizes ice so quickly and effortlessly, and I would recommend this blender to everyone in need of a top quality blender.

Absolutely love the pro series vita mix! Makes a frozen drink faster than you can set up the glasses! Love the way it turns raw veggies into wonderful soups, sauces, dips and even makes great sorbets! Turns woody herbs into powder in nothing flat!
