"After doing a little research, looking for the best oven for the price, I discovered the Krup toaster oven has 3 heating elements on the top and 3 on the bottom of the oven. Most toaster ovens in the same price range has a maximum of 2 heating elements at the top and 2 on the bottom. For sure, more elements gives more heat for faster toasting, baking or broiling. I find that the easy touch button (that's what I call it) if tapped a couple of times adds a couple of minutes to the toast default time, avoiding making it necessary to place the rack right under the heat elements to brown toast. For toast I tap until "6" shows up in the window; for english muffins until "7" shows up in the window -- depending on your toast browning preference. For baking or broiling, just tap the button for the number of minutes you need for baking or broiling time. I also find that it self cleans so I never have to wipe down the sides of the oven and I wrap the "catch tray" at the bottom with aluminum foil for easy clean up."

"We have used a number of different toaster ovens over the years and while they all do somewhat of the same thing more or less, the Krups is by far the most outstanding. It is easy to use and the touch buttons make sense (not a lot to figure out), it is very easy to clean (self cleaning so it only needs a wipe down periodically) and the cooking/toasting results have been outstanding. We have always had a problem with making toast exactly as we want but no longer. We find that for two people we seldom use our large oven - just about everything goes into the Krups. Clearly one of our best purchases - thanks!!!!!"

"I love this toaster oven. I use this oven more than I do my regular oven. It's big enough to handle medium sized jobs, but still countertop size, although it is bigger than your average toaster oven. I have baked, broiled, toasted and grilled in this oven and it has produced consistently well-cooked food. Nice flexibility with the racks. Cleans easily. My only objection to this machine is the annoying ringer - it chimes like five times when it's done cooking and three times when you manually turn it off. Totally unnecessary! One chime would be plenty and the option to turn the chime off would be the only thing needed on this oven."

Krups designed its toaster oven elements to cycle on and off, providing exquisitely tuned heating results. These optimized heating elements combined with convection and interior design provide the fastest and best small oven results available. *If you can only have two appliances in your kitchen, this and microwave are the two to have. *I've used it for toasting, reheating foods where texture is important, roasting vegetables, and even baking.
