Lodge Logic Cast Iron Skillet

Lodge Logic Cast Iron Skillet : It's perfect for making virtually anything from bacon and eggs to grilled sandwiches, pan-fried fish, and fabulous cornbread. Each has dual pour spouts and a helper handle. Set of 2 includes the 10 1/4" and 12" diameter skillets. Lodge Logic's preseasoning process penetrates the metal's pores thoroughly and uniformly, so it looks and performs better than traditional home seasoning. You still get the even heating, superior heat retention, and inherently stick-resistant finish that has made cast iron cookware a favorite of professional chefs. Oven safe. Made in the USA.

I was so confident that Chefs would provide a high quality product that I purchased 4 of the Lodge Logic Cast Iron 13 1/2 inch skillets as Christmas gifts for my kids. Again, I was totally satisfied with the products I received. These are high quality skillets that will last a lifetime of cooking. They are seasoned and ready to go. I love the size and believe they will accommodate a wide range of items for my budding chefs. The handle and pour spouts make them easy to use. Top shelf skillets.

Well, this is the workhorse of the kitchen. I bought 2 for my son, a budding chef and the 15 1/2 for my daughter who's married to an executive chef. We all cook and cannot do without these pre-seasoned cast iron skillets. Buy one in every size, you won't be disappointed.

I own the 12" skillet and this is the hardest working pan in the kitchen, by far. It is a joy to cook with this pan; everything browns so nicely and the heat retention is fabulous. Apart from using it on the the stove, I love to use it for baking. I regularly make dinner rolls, cornbread and pineapple upside-down cake, with amazing results.
The skillet is super solid and the weight is substantial, but the helper handle is an excellent design feature. Cleanup is easy - I use warm water and a nylon brush, and always allow it to dry completely on a low flame burner before putting it away. I plan to have this pan for decades to come.
Pros: capacity, durability, Easy to Clean/Wash, even cooking, Heat distribution, Heat retention, Long-lasting, Material, Value for Money, made in tennessee, eco-friendly

Wonderful Pan

I recieved this Pan as a gift and it has quickly become my favorite, the two handles are a plus and because it comes pre seasoned its great for browning and frying breaded foods because nothing sticks. The pan heats evenly and is not too heavy. Good quality and should last a lifetime unlike the pans with fragile non stick coating. No Kitchen should be without one!
Pros: pre seasoned

I purchased the 12 inch skillet, it is another fantastic purchase from Chefs. The helper handle is a wonderful feature. I didn't think I would be able to lift it but with the helper handle that is no longer a concern. Even browning is not a worry everything browns beautifuly, being able to put it in the oven is such a great feature. I made a rack of lamb, I browned it on the stove and finished it off in the oven. My husband said it was the best he ever had. That is enough reason to own this pan for me.

Finally, a set of cast iron pans that are of top quality. They are preseasoned, so ready-to-use when you get them. The first thing I made was a Pineapple Upside-Down cake. The extra handle made it easy to flip the pan after baking. And it came out perfect.
Clean up was just a quick wash. No hard stuck sugar.
I would definitely recommend these pans to anyone.

Bought this set on the recommendation of TV's Rachel Ray who thought no kitchen is complete without at least one cast iron frying pan. She also recommended getting a pan with handles on both sides as it makes cooking with them more manageable. Very satisfied with this purchase and looking forward to finding many uses for it.

I bought this cast iron pan to make my famous irish soda bread. It holds more dough than the 10" pan i have always used so it will be bigger and serve more of my coworkers who i bake for. The test bread was fabulous. This pot will be passed down to the family for generations along with my secret recipee for soda bread.

I have used my new "old-fashioned" skillet twice now and wish I hadn't cast out my old one years ago for my new cookware. I did a savory roasted sweet potato recipe and also oven-finished a steak in it. The even heating is the BEST! Thank you.
