"I've been a baker most of my life, as well as a food writer and recipe developer. As long as I've baked, I've used Nielsen-Massey pure vanilla. It's the best tasting vanilla that you can buy. I love its wonderful fragrance and great flavor."

'Really Good Vanilla'

"As a frequent viewer of culinary shows, I often hear the cooks refer to using 'really good vanilla' when they are making sweets. I thought that my usual brand was considered 'really good vanilla' until I purchased this brand. I must say that this vanilla extract truly makes baked goods 'something special'. My cakes, pies, sweet doughs and cookies take on a new level of richness and aroma and now I wouldn't dare use any other. Most definitely recommended for those who want the best flavor and value! On a scale of 1 - 10........... I give this product oh, A 24!"

"I've purchased pure vanilla extract from a price club for as long as I can remember, and it is good vanilla. But once I tried Nielsen Massey, there was no turning back! Now the other brand has been sitting in my cupboard since. The deep, dark vanilla flavor is unmistakable in my baked goods and ice cream. The first recipe I tried this on was my pineapple upside down cake, and it was gobbled up in minutes! Definitely worth the price."

"I may be baised since my uncle was a plant manager with Nielsen-Massey for 20 years, but for me, there is no other vanilla. I have tried other ones at gourmet stores and I have yet to find another that adds the same amount of richness to my baked goods as theirs. I use this vanilla in my cakes, cheesecakes, cookies, milkshakes, and even my pancakes. Also, you will not find a better price on this size of vanilla anywhere else."

"People who have been using lesser brands (or imitation extracts) may flinch at the price, but this vanilla is simply the best, producing noticeable results in ice cream and all kinds of baking. Also, the bottle is large and will last even avid bakers quite a while."

"I have used Madagascar Vanilla for a number of years now. As an avid baker, I have tried different brands of ingredients including vanilla, eggs, flours and butters, and find that when I make my chocolate chip cookies using this vanilla, people notice and mention the difference - particularly the men who taste the cookies. It's not a special recipe, it's the one on the back of the Nestle Semisweet Chocolate Chip bag. I purchased a quart bottle last spring and split it with a friend who also enjoys baking. I've decided I could use my own quart bottle since I've nearly run out and the Christmas baking season is upon us. The price in this size makes it a justifiable purchase to me."
