The Wusthof Gourmet collection are quality knives and they are not even the top of the line ones that they make.
This slicer cuts through meat just like butter. The handle is well made, fits in my hand very well and the blade is full tang.
This is a perfect knife for your Thanksgiving Turkey, your Christmas Roast and Easter Ham!

I'd been lusting after this knife for a long time but was put off by the price, and waited for it to go on sale. It is a fabulous knife with a great feel and balance, and does what it is advertised to do - cut paper thing slices. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Excellent product. I bought it for my husband to carve all the smoked meat that he cooks as a hobby and he is absolutely thrilled. It is sharp, easy to maintain and high quality. Price was excellent too.

It has great balance, fits comfortably in my hand, and has an amazing blade. I've used it on pork roasts - what a pleasure! - and can't wait to carve my first prime rib.
If there is a downside to this knife it's that I can't afford to buy one for each of my four sisters. I also wish the knife came with recommendations for how to care for it on a daily use basis, how to sharpen it, and how often to do so.

This was a great purchase. It's really a 4.5 star review, but the functionality of this knife is fantastic. It cuts through meat like butter, or tomatoes, or anything that just requires lots of slicing. The handle feels just a touch too light, but the blade is magnificent.
