My husband purchased this wok for me for our anniversary. I love it!! It works great and the fact that you can remove the basin and put it in the dishwasher is an added plus!!

This is a review for the FOURTH Breville Wok I have purchased in the last 12 months. Family members received the first two last Christmas (of course the third I bought for myself)! When I asked my son, 29, what he wanted this year, he immediately said a Breville Wok! Who woulda thought!? Well he could not be happier - in fact, everyone of my family members raves about how much they love this!

if this Wok is representative of the rest of their product line, I could in future, select any Breville appliances, without all the research I put into this purchase!
Fantastic performance: fast response heat settings, great balance with side handles, good heavy base, quick detach and all washable, and it looks beautiful on the counter.
I have cooked at least 1 meal a day, ( most days twice) since I recieved this, and Chefs on line had it to me pronto, first purchase, and at the best advertised prices!
I just found out I am Gluten intolerant, and this Wok is most beneficial to this bachelor's new diet and lifestyle!
you will not be dissapointed with this Wok!

This wok is wonderful. It is very easy to use and more importantly very easy to clean. The removable base makes cleaning it a cinch (and it is dishwasher safe!). I have used it for quite a few different recipes and each one came out great. The meat/chicken cooked evenly and the vegetables were done just right.
The plug has a finger hole for easy removal. They really thought of everything when they created this wok.

This investment proves to be a valuable assistant in the kitchen. It has a base that gives it the sturdiness I need to stir and toss without worrying about it tipping. There is an even distribution of heat which cooks like a dream. It cuts down the cooking time. The food doesn't stick. It is easy to clean. Being able to detach the base makes it convenient. It is also a bonus that it is an attractive appliance. To summarize, it has the look of quality. When handling it, I feel the quality. And its cooking quality is superior. This wok is really my helper and friend in the kitchen.

This wok is large enough for a stir fry for 4 and has very nice features, such as a see through lid and that it comes apart nicely for cleaning, and can even go in the dishwasher. Easy to use and very sturdy and well made. Since we don't have gas, this is the next best thing and I can continue to enjoy my husband's marvelous stir fry's. I appreciated a good price and free shipping. The packaging was torn and dented, but thankfully the product itself was not damaged by the shipper's carelessness.

Although I just received my Wok a week ago and have only used it twice, It is great, I love the way it cooks food. Very evenly cooked and the stir fry's we have made come out great. Nice looking electric Wok and seems very sturdy. I have no cons.

When I'm in the Kitchen, I become: Self-proclaimed Gourmet
This wok is pretty enough to leave on the counter, as I stir fry at least 3 times per week. Meats sizzle quick, and then my veggies really fast - so the meats don't have time to cool down to add. Cleans up easy by hand and I still need to find the best spot to position it in my dishwasher. My husband likes that clean up factor. This is my 3rd electric wok in 35 years, so hope it can hold up!

This wok gets hot fast,stays hot ,cleans so easily and is just what I needed because I have a ceramic top electric stove and can't use a traditional wok on it

Its hard to find electric woks. This unit fills all my expectations. It is extremely sturdy, a good feature for holding heat; easily cleanable; and the transparent lid facilitates simmering and slow cooking.
Until you get used to it, the controller settings need to be coordinated with the manual, degree markings might have been better.

Have owned many woks and I ordered my first one of these several years ago (and it still works just like new!). It has very thick walls and glass lid with adjustable vent. Bowl detaches easily from heating base for quick clean up. Temp control is quite precise and changes temp very quickly. Holds enough for a meal for 5. Cord is 46", so long enough to plug in under an island countertop and still have some give. I just recently ordered a second wok for our second home and it is just as wonderful as the first - same great quality and I'm sure we will be as happy with it as the first.

I recently purchased the Breville Gourmet Electric Wok and have used it several times since the purchase. I find that it heats up quickly to a high temperature without smoking and needs little to no oil to stir fry meats and veggies. We are trying to reduce our intake of fats and add more healthful foods to our diet and this wok makes that very easy. Nothing sticks to it, there are no grease splatters, no smoking and no odor except the delicious aroma of the food that is stirfrying. Cleanup is also very easy as the bottom comes off and you can immerse the wok in nice, hot soapy water, A quick dry with a soft cloth and away it goes, ready for the next time. I would recomment this wok to anyone looking for a great product.

heats up extra fast. heats on all sides. purchased because it is made by Breville and we have been most pleased with the Breville products. Have only used once but our chef daughter tells us it is wonderful. I want to see what else it will do in terms of using it as a cooker/frypan.

Living in rural part of Connecticut limits my utilities. With no gas and an electric cooker it has been impossible to stir fry until now.
The Breville electric wok has a large heated area that quickly heats up to stir fry temperatures. A see through lid makes it easy to keep an eye on your cooking. Additionally the variable temperature keeps food warm until served.
Cleaning is easy, with the wok quickly detaching from the stand. The cooking surface seems very durable and is a breeze to clean.
My recommendation is if you don't have gas, Go with the Breville Electric Wok for your chow cooking.

This is my second wok. I wish I had purchased a Breville first. It is absolutely wonderful. No need for a lot of oil. It heats up very fast. And oh soooo easy to clean. Love it.
