I've gone through many graters without any tendency to look for the same brand to replace a worn out one. I've owned this grater for 5 years and recently loaned it to a friend who lost it. I had to get the same thing to replace it! It is very duarable, cleans up well, and is the best grater I've ever owned!

This is the best kitchen utensil I've purchased in a long time. It replaces many other microplane devices that I now own and you can shred more product quickly and easily. It's also very easy to clean.

Perfectly sharp, it went through hard cheese like buttah! Even sliced an onion on it quickly for a salad.

This is a great grater. It's very sharp and easy to use. I like that one side comes off so it is very easy to clean. I also like the plastic guard that fits over it when it is stored.
In the kitchen, I'm never without: bowl scrapers and spoon rests

This is a fantastic grater. It's sturdy, has great legs and with four different surfaces, can do just about anything I need.
I like that one side is removable, making it easier to clean inside, and is dishwasher safe (though the plastic cover isn't, but that's no big deal).

This grater makes quick work of tedious cheese grating. I like the design where all sides of the grater have function. The greater is so sharp, you need to be careful not to get your fingers too close. The plastic protector makes it safer to store.

Very sharp grater makes it extremely easy to grate cheese quickly. The fine side slides on and off too, which makes clean-up fast. I like the way the coarse side grates the cheese; almost like cheese ribbons... long, thick, and flat, which allows the cheese to melt nicely but still leave chunks of cheese for my cheese-loving husband. The slicer works very nicely too.

I love my Microplane rasp, but sometimes the thing is just too small for the job at hand. This is the answer. The nice broad razor sharp grating surfaces on this grater make extremely fast, efficient work of even the hardest cheeses. I use it to grate root vegetables as well, and the diagonal slicer is perfect for smaller cutting jobs which would ordinarily require pulling out the mandoline. Rubber feet stabilize the thing for secure operation, and the fine grating surface pulls out for easy cleanup. It comes with an acrylic cover so I don't have to worry about the blades dulling during storage. Overall, it works so well, I gave my old box grater away.

I bought this grater for the Microplane name, figuring it would probably be quality in terms of the efficiency of grating. Microplane proved me correct. All sides are very sharp, making grating easier and safer. The handle is very secure and gives good overall balance. The only mild downside is that it isn't the easiest to store, but, let's be honest, as often as I'm grating cheese, that's not too big a concern.

This grater is fabulous!!! It makes quick work of grating even the most difficult of cheeses and it cleans up in a snap...without leaving cheese in the holes. I would highly recommend this to all...it will be your LAST grater purchase. Think of the savings of buying block/brick cheeses instead of the overprocessed bags!!!

I have other graters in the drawer. But if I wanted to grate cheese for pizza, I had to pull out the food processor, use it, wash the bowl and the blades and put it away. Too much work for someone who makes a lot of pizza. So I took a chance on this grater and I'm glad I did. It grates everything. Soft cheese, hard cheese, cabbage, onions and carrots for cole slaw, it even slices soft mozzarella for caprese. It's shap. It's stable. But what takes it head and shoulders above other graters is the removable panel that makes cleaning a breeze.
Make room for one in your kitchen. It's the only grater you really need. And it's worth every cent.

I really didn't want to spend this much on a grater, but I'm glad I got it. One feature they don't tell you is that you can remove the fine/zester grating blade completely, making it the easiest to clean box grater I've ever had. Once I discovered this I had absolutely no regrets about purchasing it.
