oh-so-functional mill is a great alternative to manual
grinders, which can be hard for some people to twist.
Simply push the button to start the grinding process. A
small light illuminates the bottom of the mill so that
you can see exactly how much is being dispensed. Use
with coarse sea salt and/or whole peppercorns only. Salt
and peppercorns must be purchased separately. Requires 6

I just ordered three sets of these for Christmas Gifts. I first saw them in a local restaurant and had to have a set. I have had mine for over a year and everyone who has dinner with us loves them.
Shopping for them on line was the easiest experience. They arrived very quickly.

I absolutely love the electric salt and pepper mills. A friend of mine had the pepper grinder and I looked and looked everywhere for one and never did find them until I received the Chef Magazine and there they were. They are a little pricey. But it is something I will use daily and think it's worth it. It's nice to have the light to see how much salt and pepper you're using.

A fabulous gift for our wedding!! One serious drawback tho..... WARNING!! Metal housing but PLASTIC insides! If you leave these anywhere near the stove, the metal heats, and the plastic warps. I was dumb enough to innocently leave them on the center area of the stove, where the spoonrest goes, and they overheated. I was so sad but lovetd them so much, I bought another pair!! Love that they light up the food so you can see how much you s/p you are using!!

The salt mill portion if this duo did not work on receipt and has been returned, I have not heard from Chefs since it was returned. So much for customer service!!!

Due to an error in shipping, I ended up with 2 of the pepper mills. They both did not work. After the first units grinding mechanism didn't work, I tried the second unit and it did not work at all after inserting the batteries, so I tried the working top with the second bottom and the peppercorns got stuck in that unit as well. I tried two kinds of peppercorns in case 1 was a different size or firmness, but that wasn't the problem. Both kinds of peppercorns got stuck in the grinding mechanisms of both units.

Great Product! It's probably one of the best things since sliced bread!!! Looks wonderful and is great fun to use in the kitchen. Have ordered several to give away as gifts. All responses have been great.

A friend had these on her table and I had to have them. They have a light for use at the dinner table, provide an easily adjusted grind size and are a dream to use. I can see these being extremely helpful to younger and older users who have difficulty turning the traditional grinders as well. Very nice.

Like the upgrades. We had an older on that the bottom had to be taken off...a pain. Also it did not have an adjustment for fine to course. The grand kids like the light and want to do everyone's pepper for them.

I have gone through a few different S and P shakers and this one hands down beats them all. It's fast and easy. Don't have to do any twisting or shaking. Just press a button and eat!

This pepper mill worked great for 2 days then it would no longer grind. I even changed the batteries hoping that would help but it didn't. I finally had to return it.

Received mis-matched pair and returned both for replacement. One mill had no company logo, the other had a letter "P" to identify the content as pepper but the salt mill had no such letter. One mill was about 1/16" shorter than the other.
It appears that separate mill designs were shipped. We're hoping that a matching pair will be sent as replacements.

Works great except my husband wishes he could figure out how to make the grind smaller. I love it the way it is, big chunks. Will try to find out how to make the grind smaller.

I was inspired by Paula Deen to find an "automatic" pepper grinder, and this one, while not exactly like hers, fits the bill perfectly. The light on the end is an added (and unexpected) bonus! A little pricy, but nice.
