3-Piece Stove-Top Deep Fryer : This Windsor-style deep fryer features hard-anodized aluminum construction for even heat distribution and thorough cooking from the inside out. Its stainless-steel wire basket lifts and clips to the pot, making it easy to drain finished food. The mesh lid reduces oil splatters and allows steam to flow out through the lid instead of back onto food or oil. I've never been a big deep Fryer fan, the old coventional ones might be the reason. Messy, not hot enough, absorbed too much oil. This Fryer I just purchased is Great. It is a good size, nice wide top. I love cast iron for its hot end even heating. Easy to clean & season. My Husband is a perch fisherman, when we entertain for a large group we use our turkey fryer outside. This new fryer is perfect for just us when we want our own perch dinner. I'm So glad We found the chefscatalog.com through the Tasteing Table web site.

This deep fryer comes with a mesh lid....unheard of to have a lid on a stove top deep fryer. To be able to deep fry without a mess all over the stove. The pan is a little heavy, but the way it cooks makes up for the weight. I have four married daughters and every one of them has tried to take this pan. Great buy.

This definitely will fry up many wings and does a great job evenly browning. It does require a lot of shortening (I used two cans of Crisco to fry 24 wings). Also recommend the themometer in order to protect pot from getting too hot.

When I used my new deep fryer, I loved it. It cooked my potatoes evenly and was so easy to get the potatoes in as well as out when they were done. Really will enjoy this cookware!!

I purchased this fryer for my wife as birthday gift - she wanted it so she could make gluten free tempura and onion rings. We've used it for onion rings, fried mushrooms, tempura shrimp along with fish and fries. It is a great deep fryer; it's heavy so it holds heat well and is very sturdy.
There is also a suggestion that the pot can be used for soups and stews. We used the pot for a large one pot meal for the family last weekend; it was fantastic. This is a great buy and my cooking wife really loves her birthday present, making me a pretty popular guy.

Have waited for something like this for a long time. Perfect for on the range frying or making some pasta sauces with meatballs and all the trimmings. The tight fitting screen splatter lid works nicely. Good handles with an assist handle on the opposite side for those heavy sauces. The strainer is perfect. Well worth the price.

What a great item. Great for deep frying those chicken wings...which I do on occasion for my family and friends. Superior quality. Awesome size. Pretty to look at too. Love the splatter screen, very decorative. The basket is great too. All around great item. Positively satisfied. Have received lots of compliments. Where did I get that....everybody ask!!!!!!!!!!!

I am very pleased with my new "stove top deep fryer."
I was surprised at it's capacity. It makes "frying" much easier being that I can cook greater quanities at one time. It heats and cooks evenly. Everything I have cooked in it has been delectable, light and not saturated with the cooking oil, because of the draining basket. Absolutely no splatters with it's " see through" lid. I have an electric deep fryer. In comparison, this product is far superior, and is a much easier "clean up."

Bought an electric fryer, but love the flexibility of this Product. The basket is large and it sits close to the bottom. Love it. Already recommend it to a coworker who was looking for one.

The pot has many purposes from making soup and to become a deep fat fryer. The lid is perfect as a grease catcher and to help not spread the splatter of the grease. Failure is that it is not dishwasher safe as it affects the finish. The heat of the dishwasher does clean the grease from the pot.

Used this for frying home made french fries using my our door grill side burner, works great, deep V shape, allows for the food and oil to avoid over flow, but still get good amount of food in the pot and holds the heat well once up to temp. Easy to Clean!!

It just doesn't get any better than this top-quality deep fryer! This pan is designed with all your frying needs in mind. The lid keeps hot oil from showering your kitchen, while it both keeps enough moisture in to succulently fry and allows enough moisture to escape to keep items from being soggy. I love the feature that allows you to clip the frying basket on the side of the pan for draining excess oil. Plus, the pan itself is heavy and constructed with excellence. ...and ... WHAT A STEAL!!! This originally-priced $200 deep fryer was only $79!!! Chefs' gave this away! I couldn't be happier with this purchase and would encourage everyone to hurry and snatch up this item and the deal before it's too late! LOVE IT!!!

Deep enough to avoid splatter. Great innovation: the vented lid that cut down most of the oil splatter.
The basket hanging on side to drain fries is a must. It is sturdy and well attached to the side.
The handle stays cool.

Just received this item a couple of weeks ago and found it to do exactly what I needed. I was afraid it might be a bit small because the description in the catalog was a little vague. Turns out it is plenty big enough to handle anything that I need to fry. It is a better product than what I thought it might be.

I was so displeased with my order that I called a representative immediately. The pot had quite a visable scratch, and the outter box had the audacity to indicate someone had checked the item before shipping. This is the second item of size that I have purchased that has seemed to be a "second". The box was destroyed and now I have to find something for return shipping to send it back. Poor quality!
